Probably one of the chillest restaurants I have ate at to date. They have a Tiki Bar lounge. The aesthetic is very down to earth and artsy. The food was exquisite, and cooked to perfection. We highly enjoyed the Ahi appetizer. Husband got a steak ave frites, while I enjoyed the salmon special. Plenty of drink options, including a fishbowl. Then, topped it of with some dessert. Probably my hardest choice of the night, a the had my top 3 favorite desserts on their menu. Loved this experience.

McMenamins in Eugene is located by the Williamette River and it’s such a beautiful place, both indoors and outdoors. The patio in summer time by the river is just magical.
The food is definitely superb, the drinks are fantastic… everything about this place is out of this world.
This is my go-to place every time I’m in Eugene.

I’ve always had great experiences at McMenamins North Bank, and this visit was no different. I stopped in to do some holiday shopping to grab a few gift cards and bottles of whiskey, and Savannah at the front desk was amazing.

Even with a long line behind me, she took her time and made sure I got everything I needed. She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and just genuinely pleasant to deal with. Employees like her really make a difference, and she deserves some serious recognition – and by that, I mean a raise.

As always, the food and drinks at McMenamins are top notch, the atmosphere is great, and the service is solid. I’ve always loved McMenamins, and this is exactly why.

Highly recommend.

Ok this by far the most unexpected review I feel forced to write simply because of the decor/theme of a restaurant. Because my lord. The random “tiki hut” atmosphere to try and convey the “forbidden” aspects of exploring unknown places in the world just does not hit right in 2025. The explanation on the back of the drinks menu makes it even more embarrassing because it clarifies that there’s no reason for the theme, it’s actually just an aesthetic choice with no deeper meaning or association with absolutely anything in Eugene. This was probably cute late 1990s/early 2000s, but as our society had come to understand the difference between appreciation and appropriation, this “aesthetics for aesthetics-sake” choices just leave a really poor taste in my mouth.

Food was fine, drinks were kind of disappointing because there’s a bunch of “island” specialty drinks that are cold or blended, which no one in a chilly Oregon autumn wants. Service was lovely and so was the view of the river!

I liked the fact that they are participating in the Vegan Chef Challenge! The dish I had was the Bulgogi bowl. The flavors were really good, but it sure is spicy
I heard the sweet potato tacos were delicious.

We are new to town and wanted something a little nicer to celebrate our anniversary. I saw McMenamins had some outside seating that looks over the river. It was a beautiful ambiance. I definitely would come back to celebrate a special occasion or to bring a visiting family member or friend. There is a little longer wait to be able to sit outside but it was worth it. The food menu was simple and they had an expansion drink menu. I got to try the apple cider and blueberry peach cider. Both were so good and definitely means I will be back. My favorite part of dinner surprisingly were the Cajun tater tots. They are a must try. My only complaint would be the outside chairs are low to the ground wicker patio chairs. The restaurant is also right off a walk along the river if you want something else to do before leaving. In total we got 5 drinks, 2 meals and a trip for around $110. It was a very fair price for a beautiful meal.

Eugene Vegan On the go!
I love the McMenamins family of restaurants! I am especially happy that the Eugene, North Bank location participated in the Vegan Chef Challenge. Those chefs came up with an amazing Bulgogi bowl that was very authentic! Then there was the sweet potato and black bean tacos! Delicious! I wish they could keep them on the menu! I would like to thank the management for allowing the chefs to use their creativity and participate in the challenge! I will hope to see you in the challenge next year!

What a great find in Eugene! We visited on a Saturday evening without reservations and were able to get a table out on the patio overlooking the river. The patio had a calming, relaxed feel to it. I ordered the salmon which was very good. My daughter had the ahi tacos. She said itt could use a little more flavor or spice but a definite 7 out of 10.

She ordered the Irish Stout beer and said it was very good. I had a nice Basil Hayden Old Fashioned that was very reasonably priced compared to Nashville.

I will definitely visit again when I’m back in town.

One of our favorite places in Eugene. Beautiful river view, delicious food and fantastic service. Cozy rustic atmosphere, family friendly. Bar seating available. Everything on the menu is great, Vegan options available.
If the Marionberry Ale is available, try it!

We got the Dungeon burger and the hoke poke bento bowl. The burger was good, but the mushrooms added a texture that was a little off-putting, they were a bit too think and firm. The hoke bowl had too much wasabi, it covered most of the other flavors in the bowl so unless you don’t want to taste your food get it with no or light wasabi.
