Located on a busy street next to bars and other restaurants, I stopped by here to grab a late night snack. So glad they are open until midnight during the week. Service was friendly and attentive. You have the option to order a whole pizza or just a slice to go. There wasn’t a ton of searing inside, but I noticed there is a speakeasy. I have to come back to try the speakeasy sometime.
I got the chicken aware tibs slice. It was really good. It had a nice level of spice to it without being overpowering.

I’ve been to this place a few times already. I’m so glad it’s close to my apartment so I can stop by anytime and grab a slice. Their food is really innovative and delicious. Love the flavorful spices. My favorite is the pizza I have pictured the Derho chicken pizza. The staff are all very friendly and I can’t wait to try their new brunch they will be serving on the weekends in their speakeasy!

The pizza and atmosphere was excellent. Joseph took care of us and chatted with us for quite a while about their food, his family, his home country and was genuinely interested in our experience. We had a great time and the food was excellent. We had several different slices of pizza and a pesto chicken sandwich that was awesome. Great place!

Walked by this place a few times and it’s always been busy. Really glad I finally walked in, the staff were very pleasent, pizza was amazing and we met the owner, who was really friendly 🙂 We had Derho Chicken Pizza slices.

Absolutely delicious pizza here every time, and the staff has always been friendly. Their differentiator is the Eritrean-inspired special slices, all have been incredible.
And the least well kept secret is their cool speakeasy downstairs. They comically advertise it with pride, which is so sweet if completely antithetical to the idea of a speakeasy!
Highly recommended, one of the best food options in this stretch, and they are open late.

If you want good food & great customer service, come here! We tried the derho pizza and it was so good! We will be back to try the other menu items. They even have a speakeasy with great drinks! And everyone was so friendly and nice, we even got a chance to talk with the owner to give him our compliments on his restaurant. The restaurant is Eritrean owned and has entrees catered to that cuisine. Cannot wait to go back!! 10/10, highly recommend.

We came expecting a good pizza and was surprised by a speak easy. Pizza was really good and so was the drinks. You need to make reservations for the speakeasy. But they were kind enough to let us in without reservations. You can order pizza in the speakeasy as well.

One of the best pizza place in Shaw and 9th street corridor. Very clean place and fast pizza to grab. The servers are very nice and greet you with warm welcome as they just open. The pizza is Thin and crisp to eat. I would really recommend anyone who’s going out 9th street night life. And also very convenient for people like me live around the area.

We had a great time at Minya,s Pizza. Fantastic dining experience! We had such a wonderful evening there. The combination of delicious pizza refreshing drinks, (need reservations for speakeasy downstairs) and exceptional service truly makes for a memorable outing. Joseph, the owner, seems to have created a welcoming atmosphere with his talent and passion. It’s also nice to know that all the servers are well trained and polite. The service added to the overall experience. My enthusiasm for the food and the ambiance really shines through, and it’s clear that we left with great memories. Spreading the word is a wonderful way to support a local gem like Minya’s Pizza. Looking forward to our next visit at a different location in our neighborhood . I believe in you! Your pizza will be served all over the USA.
