When I visited my sister in Tacoma last few weeks, I was craving for roasted peanuts and prime ribs, she took me to this restaurant, similar to Texas Road House in Union City in CA. Where you can have nice steaks, chowders, Onion Rings.
The place is clean but the floor is filled with roasted peanuts shells. The atmosphere is fun with people drinking, eating peanuts and appetizers.
We got a table near the back, quite red LOL. I did like the peanuts. We ordered some ipa beer which is very good.
At these places, the onion rings are a must, but I didn’t think it was flavorful unless we dip in the ranch dressing. The hot bread was good with regular salted butter, had to request if not you’ll get sweet butter. I ordered a 12 oz prime ribs, it’s not as tender as the one at Lawry’s, it’s a little chewy for my taste. My sister thought it was good, she liked it. Her crawfish chowder was excellent for me but a little rich for my sister’s taste. My brother in-law liked his chicken fried steak.
It’s nice to visit a nice steak house sometimes, the server was extremely attentive, pleasant and funny. He filled up my Iced Tea many times, more au jus, fresh horseradish, ranch dressing, etc.

I found Jimmy Mac’s to be a fun family restaurant. Grab some peanuts when you come in the door and let the good times roll. The food was unremarkable, but the wait staff was nice and efficient. The decor and big screen TV’s has something for everybody.

I had high expectations based on the reviews. While the service was superb, it was evident that staffing levels were insufficient given the server’s extensive responsibilities. The food came out alarmingly too quick. I ordered the Blackened Ribeye, prepared medium-rare, accompanied by shoestring fries and Mac & Cheese. The steak’s doneness was inconsistent, ranging from rare in some areas to medium in others. It was also notably gristly and surprisingly thin. Furthermore, it had a distinctly sweet flavor with unharmonious herbs. I ate less than half the steak. The side dishes were satisfactory. The rolls were the highlight of the meal.
My wife reported that her salmon was enjoyable.

The place is great! They offer a bunch of bun rolls with honey butter which are yummy. You can get a box to take them home. The roasted peanuts are yummy and you may throw the shells on the floor, which you’ll know why when you visit.

The experience was different and fun. They offer complimentary bread with sweet honey butter. On your way in grab a bag of shell peanuts and throw shells all over floor. The staff are very friendly and very relax atmosphere and plenty to look at.

I foggy to take a picture because I started eating it immediately. Ribeye was tender and delicious. I can hardly wait to go back. Salad was crisp and fresh and the potato was definitely loaded. Iced tea was excellent- very fresh. Server was excellent

This was my third visit. The waiter didn’t ask if I needed bread because he knew I’d been there before. First-time customers wouldn’t know if there are peanuts or if bread is served separately. I wish the waiters were more proactive. Also, some tables have bright lighting while others are dimly lit. It would be better if the lighting was consistent throughout the restaurant, or else you have to move tables. Food looks more appetizing under bright lighting. However, the meat itself is top-notch.Jay

Good food, great service, good menu, nice beer selection, love the peanuts and throwing them on the floor. Plenty of parking. Easy going place and can handle large groups. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated, nibbled on peanuts while waiting.

Great steaks, great service, feels like a good old school road house. Food was great and steaks were the most tender. Loved their rolls as well. The peanuts on the floor thing is pretty dope too. Prices are really reasonable too. It is definitely my new go to steak house.
