Wow, what a gem and incredible addition to Old Town Scottsdale. The lush courtyard is beautiful and the indoor dining room is elegant with the view into the magic happening in the kitchen. The service was choreographed like a beautiful ballet performance the way they set down and pick up dishes in sync. Every dish was a work of art and tasted as good as it looked. Wine selection was top notch. Shout out to our server Zephan who was both friendly and professional.

Found this hidden gem by chance on a walk. They have just opened. Went for a girls brunch. Spectacular cocktails our favorite was the I go where Hugo a Prosecco , lime, cucumber marvel of a cocktail. All of the food items were fabulous. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The attention to detail is incredible. Get here before they are truly discovered.

We had an excellent brunch there this morning. The pancake were works of delicious art! The mushroom truffle omelet was rich and well balanced. The burger was one of the best I have eaten. If you are tired of yet another smash burger you will be delighted by this incredible burger. The bun was maybe the best part of many excellent parts. Highly recommend

My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Anhelo Restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale, and it was a truly memorable evening. We’d been wanting to try Anhelo ever since it first opened in downtown Phoenix, so when they moved closer to home, it was finally time — and it did not disappoint.

Atmosphere:
The space is absolutely stunning. Scottsdale needs more restaurant designs like this — modern, moody, and elegant, with “fine dining from The Bear” vibes. It manages to feel both sophisticated and comfortable, setting the stage perfectly for a special occasion.

Service:
Top-notch from start to finish. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and clearly cared about our experience. Several team members congratulated us on our anniversary, and Chef Ivan even sent over a complimentary glass of champagne — a thoughtful touch that really stood out.

Drinks:
Their wine list is exceptional. Hats off to the wine director for curating such a deep and diverse list at refreshingly fair prices (especially for Scottsdale). I enjoyed a glass of Pierre Peters Blanc de Blancs Champagne, while my wife loved her crafted cocktail — beautifully presented and perfectly balanced.

Food:
Anhelo offers a tasting menu–only experience, with three menu formats the night we dined (soon changing to one or two). We opted for the petit tasting, which was the perfect amount of food — beautifully plated, inventive, and delicious from start to finish. Each course was thoughtful and refined, the kind of dishes that make you feel like you’re dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Napa or NYC, not Arizona.

Where it fell just shy of a perfect 5:
My wife has a gluten allergy, which I had noted at booking and confirmed twice with staff before our dinner. While every dish she received was made gluten-free, it felt a bit reactive rather than fully integrated into the menu. For example, there was no GF bread substitute for the standard bread service, and the caviar course we ordered was ultimately canceled because there wasn’t a suitable GF “vessel.” Later, her entrée — originally the lobster tortellini — arrived reimagined as a shrimp dish without prior notice. It was delicious, but understandably a bit of a surprise when expecting lobster.

To be clear, this feedback is highly specific to our situation and doesn’t detract from what was otherwise a stellar experience. For most guests, Anhelo will deliver a flawless fine-dining evening.

Overall:
Anhelo is one of the most exciting culinary experiences in Arizona right now — incredible food, impeccable service, and a dining room that feels special the moment you walk in. We’ll absolutely be back and look forward to seeing how this talented team continues to evolve.

I am visiting from out of state and I have to say I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The service was warm, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere and ambiance were absolutely perfect! Relaxing, stylish, and thoughtfully designed to create a great dining experience.

The food was exceptional. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented!

If you’re looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend you visit Anhelo!

Anhelo is truly a restaurant of ambience and service. Our experience was great. But primarily because of service. We chose the bar and à la cart option. Scallops and beef Wellington. Probably an off night for kitchen as neither was that amazing, however service made up for it. One surprise was the cheesecake dessert. It was very very good. Props to bar man.

Anhelo Restaurant, now located in Old Town Scottsdale, truly lives up to its name—derived from the Spanish word for “desire”—by delivering an elevated dining experience that goes beyond food and into the realm of art. At the helm is Chef Ivan Jacobo, whose vision is to craft meals that spark conversation, stir emotion, and leave lasting memories. Our evening began with cocktails by Azalea, the resident craft-cocktail creator, including the innovative *Patisserie Milk Punch* made with butter croissant fat-washed rum, Spanish vanilla, amaretto hazelnuts, and Amaro Averna—a silky, layered drink that set the tone for the night. From there, we moved into five beautifully executed dishes, each showcasing Chef Jacobo’s balance of creativity and technical mastery. A standout was the *Chawanmushi*—a delicate egg custard enriched with lobster, chive, onion, brioche crouton, and six-month-aged Manchego—that was as memorable as it was refined. With a lineup of innovative, flavorful, and visually stunning dishes, Anhelo delivers one of the most exceptional culinary experiences in Scottsdale and should be at the top of any fine dining list.

Anhelo has a beautiful atmosphere and the Scottsdale backdrop is much more suitable than its previous location in downtown Phoenix. Immediately, you’ll notice the landscaping that compliments the desert and pays homage to the original neighborhood of Scottsdale premiere restaurants.

What really stood out to us, was chef Ivan’s hospitality. He took us on a detailed tour of the new space and shared his vision and backstory with us. You could feel his humility was genuine and that same energy resonated throughout the other staff members as well.

The food taste amazing and the presentation was done very well. I believe it’s a new menu and may change in the future so I didn’t get too attached, but I’m sure whatever direction they settle in will be just as great if not better.

Where Anhelo stands out from the crowd of other white cloth restaurants, is their drink menu anchored bar. Although everything is immaculate and screams luxury, it doesn’t feel stuffy. The perfect ambience for Scottsdale and its casual luxury vibe. The drinks are thoughtfully curated and taste as good as they look.

I highly recommend checking out this new kid on the block. Literally, chef Ivan is a young man who operates a chef&owner and is we involved in the Phoenix community giving back to kids who come from humble beginnings aspire to level up their lives.. just as he did!

We did not eat there but my girlfriend and I were looking for a quiet place to grab some cocktails before going home for the evening and stumbled upon this place. Marson the bartender was amazing. He has a wealth of knowledge on liquors and made some fantastic cocktails for us. He also gave us some recommendations for some cool attractions to visit while we’re in town. We’ll absolutely be back to visit next time we’re in town!
