I was very displeased with a meal I laid almost 20 dollars for. Teriyaki chicken extra meat and 2 crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon was great, it was the teriyaki chicken. A large amount of the pieces of meat were like the size of my palm, not bite size whatsoever, like a smaller sized thin chicken breast and then other pieces were little scraggly “fall off pieces”. There were some that were a normal size. The vegetables were still a bit on the harder side, not cooked all the way. And the flavor/taste wasn’t great. Ive eaten here in the past and enjoyed the food. If tonight was a reflection on the quality being provided these days, HARD PASS. I probably won’t go back because 18 and some change is a slot of money to waste. This was a payday treat to myself. The only one I’ll get. Granted, I did order in the last 20 minutes before close but that shouldn’t mean my food is of lesser quality. They accept online orders up until I think 15 minutes to close so the quality should still be the same regardless. I didn’t even eat the meal. I may sound a bit picky but I already don’t eat larger pieces and then these were even bigger than a normal large size I would see in a meal like this and the vegetables not being cooked all the way it just threw the meal off for me. Crab Rangoon was excellent as I mentioned. I prefer their crab Rangoon to anyone else’s and have in fact gone here just for them.

I got the chicken teriyaki with extra sauce & it was a very decent amount of food. They also added a decent amount of sauce which was a nice surprise. Usually, when you ask for extra of something you just get a bit more but not with this place (thank you!) The food was fresh & delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thanks for the pleasant experience!

They are hard workers, attentive, and friendly, for sure. While they give you a lot of meat in the teriyaki, the other aspects being Asian food are horrifying, even food court standards.
I trust four stars on Google without reviewing the reviews and pictures; oh well, my big lesson.
Have you had a moment thinking what the f- did I just eat? Or what is this? I am afraid that there is no real fish in Spicy tuna – is that real tuna? Why is it sweet?….I agree about the bitter and old oil taste in the teriyaki. What haunts me the most about the mayo sauce on top of the teriyaki; why?
My suggestion: stop putting mayo on everything, and don’t sell sushi. You can sell fried rice instead; use the real soy sauce and chicken powder.
I met Latino who had made the best-fried rice and noodle stir fry before. You already have the technique, and you just need the proper seasoning and ingredients.
Thank you for your hard work. You can do better. Prove them wrong.

If you ever get a craving for that cheap hibachi/teriyaki experience, this place fits the bill. Quite tasty and large portion for cheap.
The nice guy at the front desk knows my face and name now so I have to rate it 5 stars

I have been getting food from here for around 7 years now and it never gets old. I am Japanese and grew up eating Japanese food all the time, and this is spot on, especially for “fast food”. This puts the Mall’s Sarku Japan fast food to shame. I will not get chicken teriyaki anywhere else!

This place is a gem in this neighborhood. Japanese/American food made to order with a pretty short wait. They offer sit down restaurant quality food at lower prices by cutting out the wait staff and fancy seating.
The sushi is all rolls, but there are raw options and the fish is great quality. The tempura is low key better than some big name “Japanese Steakhouse” places. The bento is a popular option, it comes with teriyaki over your choice of rice and a California roll. Usually this is what I get when I stop by but recently I’ve been super into the yakisoba.
If you live in the area definitely check it out. If you work near by this is a great place to grab curbside and bring home.

While I had originally given this place 5 stars because they absolutely deserved it 3-5 years ago. Now I feel like I have to amend it. I’ve been coming here for 7+ years and have only in the last year or 2 started noticing a major decline after I had stopped noticing a certain employee working at the location. While the food is still really good, the portions have SIGNIFICANTLY decreased while the price has gone up. I remember the going there for how many years multiple times a week where my container could barely be closed, definitely not even close to that now. Just really disappointing these days to see the direction they are heading.

I’ve been coming here for the past 2 years and it has been very delicious, ordered to go last night and for the first time I got chicken & shrimp teriyaki with extra meat. It was good as always but nothing worth it for $19! I mind as well go to Sarku Japan and get the same thing for $5-6 cheaper

We had the worst lunch in a long time at Teriyaki Sushi Express. The food tasted very odd plus very greasy and salty. Not to mention the bitter flavor of old, dirty grill, that seasoned our Yakisoba meal. The place is dirty and unpleasant. The TV plays loud Mexican soccer and the wait is long, so you will be able to catch a full game. My shrimp yakisoba had plenty of shrimp and a very thick layer of mayonnaise. The vegetables were skimpy and way overcooked. My wife put her yakisoba chicken in the trash after one taste, scooped from under the 1/2” of mayonnaise. Landfill rats have to eat.
