The food was nothing short of incredible, easily marking the best meal of our entire trip. We started with the rich and flavorful sheep cheese before moving on to the main courses which consisted of a perfectly creamy shrimp risotto and a stunningly tender grilled octopus. Each dish was expertly prepared and showcased the very best of Portuguese flavors. If you are visiting Lisbon, this is an absolute must visit. Just be sure to book ahead so you do not have to rely on luck like we did.
PS: probably a no- brainer but definitely get the octopus. We got 3 starters with it and it was more than enough
The first visit, the service was great and everyone we interacted with was welcoming and accomodating, even though we didn’t have reservations. The 2nd time everything was the same, although I had to remove a star for a bad taste that was left in our mouths (figuratively) when our waiter, as we were paying, sat there and asked “do you want to add anything?” He was referring to a tip.
Yes, we have been tipping throughout our time in Portugal, and yes I was going to leave a tip this time, however I was going to do it in cash after we paid, but he made us feel pressured to do it right then and add it to the bill, so we did. (We did this at other locations, so it wasn’t a big deal, but we had cash we wanted to use before we left Europe the following day.)
We did leave our usual tip, and he thanked us, but it just sort of left a bad impression on us that he literally asked us for it and made us feel uncomfortable about it.
Overall, this place is definitely worth it. All the food and wine was amazing, the atmosphere is great, and the service was timely and welcomining in general. For sure get reservations, or you may not be able to get in. We were lucky the first time we went on an early weeknight and it wasn’t booked up, but we did made reservations for a Friday night. Definitely will be back!
We brought our own wine, and while they allowed it, they charged €15 for corkage, which we were fine with. However, when we asked for the bill, we were pressured to leave a tip, which felt inappropriate. We usually leave tips for good service at nice restaurants. Later that night, I experienced stomachache, which was unfortunate.
The octopus is outstanding. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, exactly what you hope for in a Lisbon seafood restaurant. The service matched it every step of the way — warm, attentive, and genuinely energetic. The whole place has a buzz to it that makes the meal even better.
I watched several couples get turned away at the door on a Saturday night — this place was absolutely packed. Do yourself a favor and book ahead. Don’t show up hoping to wing it.
Highly recommend. One of the best meals of my trip to Lisbon.
A word of advice: don’t snack during the day if you’re coming here and please reserve. I had my eye on the risotto, but the team gently warned me that it’s a very big portion – something I appreciated, because they clearly want guests to enjoy the meal, not overdo it.
Service was a highlight. Douglas, Rubina, and Vicky looked after us with warmth and efficiency. Dishes arrived quickly without feeling rushed, and the whole experience felt smooth and well-paced.
One thoughtful touch stood out: each table has a small digital call button that lets you request staff or ask for the bill discreetly. It means the team never interrupts your conversation or your meal unless you need them. It’s a subtle detail, but it reflects how carefully they’ve designed the experience – attentive without hovering.
There were lots of dishes we had. You can tell It’s a good day if not many photos are taken! I really love my prawn risotto and continue to think about it still. Pity it’s closed over Christmas or else I’d be there again. The desserts were very good too.
My companions had very good fish soup, mushroom risotto, grilled sea bread and the 2 starters. Delicious! Definitely recommend!
Service was super attentive. Do go find this place.
