The location is phenomenal, catching a bite to eat after a short bike ride from the town center, or about a 1 hour walk through the island. The beach right by it is gorgeous, and there’s plenty of seating in both sun and shade. There was a line but it moved quick, and the staff were friendly. Old school rock being played was a perfect touch for vibes.
The food itself was nothing to write home about. Not sure what the other visitors are raving about. The cheeseburger was clearly a frozen patty and was served lukewarm. The patty wasn’t even warm enough to melt the cheese.
For 2 burgers, a side of fries, and a medium Diet Coke we paid $30. I understand it’s a premium for being on an island, but overall nothing to write home about.
Will we get it again? Yes because of the location and vibe. Is it a good place to go if you’re hungry? Probably not.

Fun lunch stop on the bike ride around the island. The food is good, pretty much exactly what you’d expect. The outdoor charcoal grills smell wonderful and made us even more hungry. We got the hot dog, fried pickles, and the chicken sandwich. Pricing is also very fair for Mackinac Island. Will stop here again next time around the island!

Great little place to stop for a snack or some lunch if you’re biking around the island. The building has a cool history, too. There’s plenty of seating and a nice grassy area to relax. Ample bike parking available.

Great place to grab a bite while biking/walking around the island. Hot dog and a fry $10. Won’t find a better deal on the entire island! And who doesn’t like burgers cooked on the grill? Enjoy this classic! Just DON’T feed the seagulls!

I loved my pickle spears! Very nice stop along the outer bike loop. Great for a quick bite, ice cream, or a drink. My only suggestion is to add some sort of speaker or get a megaphone to call names for orders. It gets busy, and theres a lot of people waiting for food. It was very hard to hear names being called out. But overall, it was a good experience and everything tasted good!

The reward for making it up and down Fort Hill, or the fuel to get you up the hill!
We kept it simple with soft serve ice cream and Vernors, but they were excellent. The View was unbeatable, and the staff were cordial and quick despite being busy. Worth the trip!

Got a soft pretzel ($6) and the famous fried pickles ($8.50). The pickles were indeed excellent – they were quartered spears, and the breading I believe had dill in it. Very tasty and juicy, not overdone or dried out at all. The soft pretzel was nothing to write home about, but the shop is an overall good stop at the halfway point (4 of 8 miles) of the 185 Lake Shore Loop on Mackinaw Island.

My husband & I had their fried pickles 2 days in a row & loved them! The hot cider is piping hot (be careful) and perfect for the colder months. Their fries & chicken are traditional, deep fried deliciousness & I found out you could have a small wedding there. How unique! I appreciate my cousins & their parents for suggesting this place to us. I thought it was worth it.

You can’t beat the location and the food tops it. Amazing BBQ chicken and ice cream. No amount of line should deter you. Order, sit and take it all in.
