Found this restaurant on google map while we are doing to half day trip around the county here. Most of the dishes were very tasty. My dad complains the grilled intestines were a bit too chewy. Love the fried mushroom so much! Very close to the taste that people in my home town make in the restaurants. We also got some pears from this place. They are sweet and juicy.

We had the pig intestine stir fried dry pot, it was authentic and delicious. But the BBQ was a bit misleading. As you can see that the skewers were cooked in the kitchen and brought out and put on the heated box. Those lamb, beef and chicken skewers were delicious.

The oysters were giant and worth the price. The rest of the food including skewers were not hot but just warm. That made me wonder if they really cooked it in the kitchen or just warmed it. Some foods are more expensive than I expected, and others were cheaper than I thought. For example, a pork knuckle is cheaper than the chicken skin skewer.

Our family are here for the Thanksgiving dinner. It tastes so good. The taste is very authentic. Highly recommend the Garlic Fries fish. The fish is so tender and juicy. The fish soup is drinkable and so good.
All skewers are good as well. We ordered beef skewer, squid skewer, and chicken wing skewers. My son loves the chicken wing BBQ skewer the most.
The service is nice and we love the wall decoration as well.

Friendship BBQ serves an authentic Northeastern Chinese style cuisine. You’ll find an extensive menu in shareable sizes. The skewers are nicely seasoned in spices like cumin. A lot of their hot dishes have the option to choose your level of spice. The decor is lively and gives it a playful atmosphere. The eggplant was my favourite and so were the skewers. Will have to come again to try more options.

Excellent!! We got an assortment of skewers (wagyu, beef, pork belly, fish tofu, kelp knot) as well as enoki mushrooms and shrimp paste mini wok and rice noodles with seafood. We had mango milk (Yummy!) as well as kumquat lemon tea, which was just the right balance between sour and sweet. The food was so good, we bought take out for dinner at home later! DEFINITELY give this place a try, the staff was EXCEPTIONAL!

So excited to have this restaurant in Newark. It’s in the Newark Shopping Center so plenty of parking. We went on a Tuesday for dinner. It was pretty empty when we got there at 6 pm but they eventually had a full house and some people waiting. Food was all quite good. Our server was very friendly. It’s a new and different experience. Definitely worth a trip. You can scan the QR code and order yourself or you can order with the waiters.

I don’t understand why there are so many positive reviews, but this was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I ordered Wagyu skewers, but what I got was definitely not Wagyu—it was extremely tough and impossible to chew. All the food was overly salty, making it hard to eat, and everything was dry and hard. I strongly do not recommend this place. Even giving it one star feels generous.
