Victoria’s Hong Kong Cafe & Tea has an open kitchen, clean decor of wooden planks (?) and good service.

We have:

~ Bell pepper with beef
~ Rice plate w/ pork & steamed chicken leg

A huge portion, from wine to food.

I’m dying for the boxed Cantonese BBQ lunch盒饭, for dinner this time. I jokingly call it the most popular peasant’s lunch. Victoria’s:

cha sui 叉烧 is very lean
the steamed chicken leg 白切鸡 bone in is likely from the freezer: the massive portion of ginger and scallion on top is the best part. It comes with fried rice; white rice is extra – a little unconventional.
the four florets of broccoli are firm & fresh
I added extra sausage 腊肠, which isn’t Cantonese, more like Taiwanese, fat and sweet
They offer us a booth that is equipped with a call button. A plate of fried peanuts is on the house, even they’ve it on the menu.

We haven’t ordered bell pepper in a restaurant since the last time in Miami with mouled bellpepper at Helen Huang’s Mandarin House in Miami nearly two years prior. Generous cut with a generous portion.

Sticky floor; spacious bathroom; an out door section. Our server is a kid who reminds me of pianist Lang Lang.

Real Chinese food in Sarasota
If your favorite Chinese restaurant has faded plastic sign showing chow mein and chop Suey this restaurant will either be a disappointment or enlightenment.
We had company coming over and ordered multiple dishes. What you see in the picture is two orders of spring/egg rolls. The squid with black bean sauce was excellent. Each dish had a distinct flavor and was carefully made. The pork with mustard greens was excellent. It is a very “Chinese“ taste, but you probably would not order it if that wasn’t your style. The Chow fun was well prepared, and the noodles were not soggy, which is a common criticism of many restaurants.

The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, and the booths had curtains in front of them (see pictures)), which added an air of privacy.

Are you arrive just as they open and they quickly filled the order. It seemed everybody was working as a team.

They are open on Monday, which is a bonus since many restaurants or not. I would recommend this place and if you’d love Chinese food, I think you will be delighted.

Newly opened restaurant, drove by a few times before stopping in for dinner. I was not disappointed and will be going back. The food reminded me of my time in Hong Kong. They maintained the button system so you press the button for help/ to order. They have individual almost private booths and also open seating plan. So good for a date night of a group event. For food we got the Singapore rice noodles, HK wonton soup, and the fried pork ribs w. Tangerine peel. The Singapore noodles had a good ratio of ingredients and the curry flavor was balnce not super oily. The HK wonton soup was also tasty. The filling with consistent and genius with the wrappers not being too thick. The soup base was good not the best I’ve had. The fried ribs was an item I hadn’t tried before. The texture was spot on. Each piece had a balance of meat and fat on it. They were crispy and slightly sweet from the orange peel. Also order the Thai iced tea and HK milk tea both were good. Milk tea wasn’t overly sweet and the Thai was sweet. Highly recommend this restaurant!

What a cozy atmosphere! I went for the small plates and simplicity: braised beef, wonton soup, and some pickled radish and WOW- each dish was distinct, flavorful, and paired well with each other. I enjoyed everything to the last bite- more people need to experience this !

We love this place. People who are complaining about no sauce…. ask for it, we got it immediately. If you are ok with fish and heat get the fish in chili oil and eat it over white rice(do not eat any of the peppers or pepper corns) . The two of us ordered two appetizers and two entrees with white rice and ate three meals so, we got three meals for 2 out of our leftovers. Just be patient and nice and you will have tasty food.

Visited Victoria’s Hong Kong Cafe on New Year’s Eve and were very pleased with the quality and flavor of each dish. Highly recommend the Beef Chow Fun, Kung Po Chicken and house fried rice. Three large portions a glass of Cabernet and a smoothie for under $50. We have enough leftovers for another meal.

I passed by this restaurant during my solo road trip, and it was almost closing time, so there were very few people. The food tasted exceptional, and the portions were generous—it truly felt like home. The service was quick and friendly. I will definitely come back if I have the chance.

Wowwww the food was sooooo good I mean for real. Rarely do I get to try and new restaurant and be blown away like this. I hate seeing that the restaurant wasn’t as busy as it should be for how good the food/service/atmosphere and price! We got the beef chow fun the sweet and sour chicken and the pickled radish and everything was amazing! And the little private booths are so cool

It was our first time coming here (and so happened to be our anniversary), and it so beyond exceeded our expectations!

We got there around 2:35pm, and didn’t know that they usually close for a midday break starting 2:30pm and reopening at 4pm. My husband went to the front door to see, and the lovely ladies welcomed us in, no problem! We asked our waitress for her recommendations, and we ended up ordering the wonton soup, Mongolian beef, chicken lo mein, and a spicy beef soup (I don’t remember the proper name of it), and a side of white rice. EVERYTHING was delicious! We would order the Mongolian beef again for sure, my baby loved the wonton soup, and you can’t go wrong with lo mein! Needless the say based on the pictures, we had leftovers (and ordered one more side of white rice to-go), and it was a perfect late night dinner in our hotel room.

The ladies and staff were so so so sweet and helpful. They didn’t rush us at all even though we were there when they were technically closed (we actually ended up being the only table in the restaurant, which was so pleasant and special for our anniversary with our baby). The seating is unique as well, because your booth and table is behind a curtain to give a little bit of privacy (sort of, because you are on the same side as other customers sitting on either side of your booth. But still cool and unique). 1000% would recommend anyone to come here.♥️♥️♥️♥️

Much love to the workers at this restaurant!! Will definitely be coming here every time we visit Sarasota!♥️
