Our server, Ian, was fantastic! He was attentive and efficient. Our food was delicious. The four of us had enchiladas which were each different and very tasty! We will be back!

Just wanted to share real quick that I had a super long day yesterday at work and didn’t want to eat fast food. I saw Chuy’s was closing in 30 minutes and being in the service industry myself I felt bad for even trying to get food that close to closing. However both the to-go girl and a guy there gave me such a great ending to my day. Kamryn was the to go person and she was so cool and sweet. While
I sat and waited for my to go food, a man came up to me and asked if I wanted a drink! I asked if it could be a margarita and he said of course! The margarita hit the spot, and so did the Tex mex bowl and my queso! Great job you guys! I will be back ❤️

I used to eat at the original location in Austin on Barton Springs Road when I was in college and it had just opened over 40 years ago so Chuy’s holds a special place in my heart.
Their food was always fantastic at a fair price and why I was ecstatic when this location opened 18 years ago and the food was just as I remembered it.
When I heard that Chuy’s was bought by a restaurant company I was concerned that the quality would suffer and one of the reasons I have not been but a couple times in the last year and a half.
Sadly my fears were warranted. The food, at least at this location is no longer good. It is bland and flavorless to me and something is just off the last two times I visited, yesterday being the second and last time I will go to Chuy’s in Humble.
I’m not sure if the recipes have been butchered in the name of saving money or the cooks are just sub par or poorly trained. But it doesn’t matter because Chuy’s is no longer what it once was.
I will try another location when the time presents itself and evaluate further but sadly Chuy’s is now too expensive to be served underwhelming food, especially when it was always some of the best TexMex out there in my opinion.
Just like Whataburger another Texas original had been bought by out of state interests who have ruined what they always were.
Sad, but out of state companies are clueless what Texas is all about and they need to either learn or stop ruining long standing institutions with their greed. If you buy an icon you need to understand what made it one and keep it that way.
No bueno!

Called ahead to ask about allergy protocol since we have two dairy allergies in our family. The manager on shift was very informative and accommodating. He came to our table to confirm everything with me and we got our food with the correct accommodations. The only downside was that it did take a while for the kids meal to come, well after the other meals arrived. The server said she would take it off the ticket for waiting so long but once we got the receipt it was still there, but at that point we had to hurry and leave.

The food is OK. Not bad, not great. I ordered a side of avocado slices. I got a tiny cup of brown pieces…a far fry from a “side” of “SLICES”. ♀️

I used to really enjoy coming to Chuy’s, but unfortunately, a lot has changed recently. Each time I visit, the restaurant seems to be short-staffed, which affects the overall service and experience. Several areas, including most of the dining space, are often closed off due to staffing issues, and there’s a persistent leak near the bar that hasn’t been addressed.
The biggest disappointment for me was the creamy jalapeño dip — once a fan favorite, it’s now noticeably saltier and more watery than it used to be, which really takes away from the enjoyment.
As for the food, the Tex-Mex cheese enchilada was overly sauced, lacked cheese, and was much spicier than expected. I also ordered a quesadilla, which was just okay — nothing memorable.
I really hope Chuy’s can return to the quality and consistency that made it such a great place to dine.

Service was friendly and fast. Everything we ordered was super good. I recommend the beef fajita burrito with their boom-boom sauce. Tres leches cake was a winner too. Its actually a HUGE slice. I forgot to take picture until after i devoured 90 % of it. Atmosphere was sports fan friendly with big tvs everywhere.

Sat in the bar area with my family, and the bar tender (I think her name was Shetara?) waited on us and was honestly very great. I personally don’t like the food at Chuy’s but the customer service alone would make me come back. Great customer experience. Thank you for the hospitality!
