While visiting my father in law in Pensacola, he suggested we do breakfast at one of his favorite breakfast places in Lillian, Al., Reileighs Daybreak Cafe. This place was amazing!! The decor was a bit of everything possible on the walls, from deerheads to John Wayne pics, to gas station signs….very retro and a most welcoming place….just walking in suggest one is in for a delicious meal! My father in law and wife had the ham, cheese and onion omelets, with him having grits and my wife having homestyle fries. I decided on 2 eggs, over medium, hash browns, biscuit and gravy. All 3 of us had a fried biscuit as well. Folks, this was an amazing meal with everything coming out nice and hot, cooked perfectly, and I must say, the fried biscuit was something different and really delicious!! The service, provided by Kristy, was just as good as the meal….super friendly, very knowledgeable about menu items, as well as the restaurants history and made sure our visit was exceptional! Daybreak Cafe made its way into my top 3 breakfast joints ever!! If you are ever in the Lillian, Ala area, or even close, take the time to stop by and enjoy this place. They also have a delicious looking lunch menu that I am sure we will be back to try as soon as possible! Many thanks for the excellent food and service!!

This hidden gem cafe has the best homecooked soul food that is well priced. They have awesome, friendly, and very attentive waitresses. Also, it has a wonderful & nostalgic local atmosphere!!! The homefries were the best I’ve ever had in my life! You must try this cafe when in the area!!!

Absolutely love the breakfast here. The vibe is perfect to sit with friends or just by yourself. Best pancakes ever, not to mention the hash browns are delightful as well. Who doesn’t love bacon lol. You won’t be disappointed. Five stars from this happy camper.

After passing this place by a few times, we decided to check it out. They had me at “Breakfast served all day”. Small & quaint with excellent friendly staff. Loved the generous serving of biscuits & gravy. I also added hash browns, which were nice & crispy. My guy ordered the hash plate which came with a scrumptious pancake. He was very impressed with the hash.
Next time we stop we’ll check out the lunch menu.

Fun and friendly restaurant with great food. We had an omelet, Cuban sandwich, Lena’s Patty melt (best ever), and a Ruby burger. All were delicious including the sides. Love seeing a family owned business where they actually thank you for coming in! We will definitely be stopping in again on our next visit to Lillian.

Very southern atmosphere, the good taste very similar to home cooked. They make sausage patties and very good home fries. I had a breakfast platter and it was very good. The service is very friendly too. I’ll definitely return.
