Chef and owner, Otto Maier, is the face and flavor behind Metro 7 Diner’s delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. He started his experience in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher in 1990 at Neptune Diner in Hudson, New York. This is where he also began his experience with cooking.

Came here on a Tuesday for a quick bite at lunch. Service was prompt and food arrived quickly, however, as a vegetarian the options for combinations at breakfast was sad. I wanted to order a pancake with scrambled eggs and homefries but the only combinations available included meat i wouldnt eat and didnt want to pay for or to order two meals at over 20$. There was no way to add a pancake as a side to the 2 eggs homefries and toast for example. Diners are usually great for groups with allergies ans dietary restrictions because the menus are broad and flexible but in this instance it was disappointing. I did get a baklava on the way out and it was devine!

I tried the Corned Beef Hash Eggs Benedict, and it’s a total winner. The hash was clearly the real deal (not that canned stuff), and it paired perfectly with the runny eggs. Then there’s the Fish and Chips: The fish was delicate and juicy on the inside, enclosed in a light, crunchy batter that wasn’t greasy at all. Served with a side of thick-cut chips and a tangy tartar sauce, it hits all the notes of a traditional, authentic pub-style meal.
Beyond the food, the vibe is great because the service is on point. The staff are incredibly friendly and actually helpful if you’re stuck on what to order.

This is a traditional diner. The menu is huge, with all the typical diner menu items, including all day breakfast. My adult companions had barbecued brisket and a barbecued pork sandwich. Both were fine. The brisket came with a huge pile of broccoli, very plain, and mashed potatoes. The pork barbecue was also fine- served on toast oddly. I had a hamburger. It was cooked exactly right, and the fries were excellent. The children were not happy with their breakfast meals. The homefries were really not good. The other was upset because they put the fruit she wanted on top of her French toast not on the side. So, the food is somewhat uneven. Some things were great, others not so good
The service was excellent, and the place was packed. Would I go back? I don’t think so.

We came here for breakfast hoping to capture that classic 90s movie atmosphere, and it absolutely delivered. The place has a great vibe, the staff is genuinely friendly, the service is quick, and the food is exactly what you want from a true diner. Highly recommended.

I was pleasantly surprised by this diner. The place was clean and well kept, the atmosphere was lite and welcoming. I ordered the cream of turkey soup and I was blown away by the flavor and richness. A bowl of that soup was enough to fill me up.

This is a very average diner and by that I mean the food was just okay, but not really good. However, if you have any sort of dietary restrictions, I would not recommend eating here. I asked for my omelet with no cheese and made it clear to the waitress that I could not have milk products. The kitchen loaded the omelet with cheese regardless and because it was inside the omelet, I did not realize until I had a few bites. They also have no milk alternatives other than a “lactose free” creamer that is still made from milk and therefore I could not have.

Great diner! I had bacon and eggs over easy with an English muffin. It’s been a long time since I had a sandwich size muffin and it was excellent. The most remarkable thing was the coffee. It was hot, black and tasty and the mug was the style with all the advertising on it, and just the right weight! I’d definitely go back.
They always seem to have a huge smoker out front and we asked. They have brisket, ribs, turkey, ham, etc. and it’s only served on Saturdays

Another day, another diner craving satisfied.
I’ve driven past Metro 7 countless times, but ever since my diner fixation kicked in, my subconscious is on high alert for new spots to try.
Loved the cozy vibes inside—the staff was super sweet, and the food came out fast. I have this (bad?) habit of ordering a toasted muffin with coffee at every diner I visit. They had some fun options like pistachio, but I went with the cinnamon muffin, and it did not disappoint.
For my main, I got the Monte Cristo—nothing excites my taste buds more than the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and this hit the spot. The portion was huge (hello, leftovers!). My boyfriend enjoyed his steak & eggs, and the hash was great.
Metro 7 is definitely a solid addition to my diner rotation.

Amazing experience! The staff was great and the food is too. It’s such a beautiful classic diner. We were so excited to see the spot Ryan Gosling filmed at with Eva Mendes in Place Beyond the Pines. Gabby, our server, was awesome!
