This is the worst establishment in Lawrence. They have a known roach problem, crawling around the kitchen area and even in the ice that is used for the drinks.

Alumni visiting for football weekend. Great place for a hearty breakfast. Small regional chain. Friendly and happy staff and waitress. Manager checked on us several times. Food was plentyful and served quickly. Highly recommend. Coffee to go.

Today me and my dashing girlfriend came into the big biscuit for…BISCUITS! Although everything changed when I looked deep into the menu and saw Nashville hot tenders and waffles, are you kidding me? Get out of here. They were sooooooo delicious. Our server Esther was very nice and gave us great customer service following up throughout our meal making sure we got everything we needed. Another 10/10 experience at THE big biscuit.

Maple waffle and Chicken tenders
I don’t know how to provide a rating for this so,
I’ll use Waffle House waffles as a baseline.
Hotel waffles taste and the syrup tastes deluded really didn’t help the overall tastes.
Waffles needed more time on the machine. At least at a hotel you can run the machine longer and be “toastier”
Chicken tenders taste like Walmart frozen and reheated with some seasoning
Perhaps the omelettes would be a better option for me.
I spend a lot of time driving cross country trying different restaurants due to my work in the media. Chain restaurants have officially have me taste exhaustion.
Have to try different foods to really satisfy the palate

James is an exceptional server. Very detailed, kind, and listens to what you want/need. Communicates well and lets you know when your food is coming, etc. Food was exceptional, as well!

I ordered take out on a Monday and it was ready in 10 minutes. Jim’s Platter was very good. The over easy eggs were hiding under the biscuit and sausage gravy, but still cooked just right with a runny yoke. The bacon I ordered was crispy and delicious. I could have eaten 3 orders of the bacon! Thank you.
