Their summer spring rolls were very good. You can have them by itself but personally I prefer adding on their peanut dipping sauce. Their Chili crisp Wontons although not as spicy as l’d hoped was still very delicious and their soup dumplings were just as good.
The Basil fried rice was a great main course and a good recommendation by the server for a quick and ready meal as we were ready to go watch a movie at the AMC next door.
If you’re ever down on Village On The Parkway 9, this is one of the good spots to grab a bite.
P.s. sorry for the photos of the food, but the camera doesn’t always eat first lol.
Food came out quickly and delicious. “Hong Kong Sticky Ribs” , “Korean Twice Fried Wings” , “Pork Belly Baos “ … everything cooked perfectly. The flavors work so well together.
The team was professional, efficient, and genuinely welcoming which added to the lively, upbeat vibe.
Had Roasted duck Bao Bun, Korean twice fried chicken and Singapore something but it was great!
The food was amazing, and the kimchi fried rice was a standout favorite—I’m still thinking about it.
We even ended up playing Uno, which somehow made the night even more fun and perfectly matched the laid-back, high-energy vibe.
Also… can we talk about the bathroom?? I’m obsessed. Coolest bathroom vibes ever, which somehow perfectly matched the overall atmosphere. Great food, great drinks, great energy. Will absolutely be back ✨
The atmosphere is lively and modern, with music and energy that make it perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a casual date night. The staff is friendly (especially Lexi), attentive, and always happy to make recommendations, which is great, because it’s hard to choose — everything looked amazing!
If you’re looking for a spot that delivers great food, great vibes, and a truly unique dining experience, Hawkers is a must-visit! Highly recommend the Roti Canai and Steak/Kimchi Fries Rice!!
Solid is the roti canai with a fluffy moist flaky bread. Also solid are the baos. I would say the roast duck wins over the other baos slightly due to fattines beeing better here, but it’s splitting hairs based on preference. The mei fun is very good as well, and really filling, I recommend for those who want to try this with and without the chili crisp just to be able to bounce the different tastes; yellow curry goes well at times with hotter accompanying sauces.
The wings are decent, crispy but not too light. The Hainanese sauce is a cool gimmick but not as punchy as needed for the wings. The edamame is decent as well, using the chili crisp from above, although I really didn’t get much crisp in any bite.
The reviews here are missing two other important parts of the ambience. First, this place is very very big. There are plenty of tables, and there are games for kids so that kids can play while the adults catch up. In addition, the space has a great hawker vibe but is still quiet. The sound profile in here allows you to talk, and in that sense it is also like an open air market. The corrugated sheets ensure that you can hear your friends while not being bombarded by others. I really appreciate that.
Overall, a great find for really good food in a really good space.
