I’ve consistently enjoyed the food here, and yesterday, I decided to branch out from my usual breakfast choices. I ordered the Fried Chicken, Broccoli with cheese, loaded Mashed Potatoes, and, on a whim, added pancakes to the meal. While the Broccoli wasn’t quite to my taste, the rest of the meal was excellent. The waitress provided outstanding service, showing exceptional kindness. Even with a busy workload, she made time to check on us regularly.

Called to see if by special request they could make the grilled chicken tender club sandwich like they used to. Was told by the to go person Whitney that they couldn’t do it because it’s not on the menu. I would have been okay with getting charged however much. Would have also been willing to assemble it myself because I was in the mood for a sandwich. I’ve requested at other locations and never had an issue. Ended up going elsewhere for a sandwich. What a bummer.
Update: Decided to go back for dinner and just have the regular tenders. Food was okay… got as good as I’m used to. But the most disappointing part was the Coca Cola cake. The way they scooped this dry cake in this to go box is shameful. It definitely doesn’t appear fresh. Picture included. What in the world is going on over there?

My husband and I are traveling across country and visited this store. As we walked in, all was well. The hostess greeted us and said there would be a 20 minute wait and took our name and asked for a phone number. I asked “what’s the phone number for”. She said to text me when a table is ready. I was confused because half of the restaurant was empty, and the parking lot was half full, but OK. I took pictures of the seating area at that time. Sure enough after 20 minutes we were stated. A pleasant waitresses did take our order in a timely fashion. I took more pictures. It took 48 minutes to get our food. A simple kids chicken strip meal and a lunch sampler. In the meantime several staff members walked around with little sense of urgency. Other customers waited a long time as well. The hostess would only clean a table when they seated customers at that table. The food was not hot and fresh as you would expect from waiting so long. Not good at all. I asked for and spoke to the manager Tracy. She was not aware that the hostess was putting people on a 20 minutes wait. I never saw her during the 12:30 business hour until I asked for her. This was an unpleasant experience. I will go to Crakel Barrel again because I know that as a whole, they are better than this.

The server asked me 3 times in 5 minutes if I was ready to order. I had not even picked up the menu yet. The biscuits that she brought us were so hard I could have thrown one through the glass window and it would have gone 20 feet out into the parking lot. The amount of fish brought did not live up to my expectations. I had to ask for tarter sauce 3 times. With the tip, this meal for two cost nearly 50 dollars. Oh, and the person in front of me was trying to pay with a gift card (yalls gift card), and the manager could not get it to work. That is the third person I know of that got messed around with yalls gift cards.

Cracker Barrel has just gone down completely. There was a time when I would go 2 to 3 times a week. Now every time I give them a chance it’s nothing but disappointment. And then when you bring it to Mgmt attention they have the most unprofessional unpleasant attitudes. The one in Tuscaloosa Al is by far the worst!! I wouldn’t want it even if it was free!! Nothing fresh! Over cooked shrimp, like chewing rubber. Beef tips dry tenders fried in old grease biscuits were not fresh and burned on top pancakes were like not fresh and rubbery. Never again and I waited 47 minutes for it to go!! I’m so disappointed in Cracker Barrel and myself for going.

Food was good, regular Cracker Barrel. Believe it oe not, the sweet tea was exceptional. Our waiter was excellent.
Had to wait 1/2 an hour apparently due to staffing because there were lots of empty tables. Once we were seated, service was good and food came out quickly.
My guess is that the management has dialed in how many customers they can accommodate with their staff which is, for me, preferable to trying to serve more people than they can handle at a time.
Good experience over all.

My friend and I went for lunch. It was 12:23 when we arrived and was told that there would be a 20 minute wait. We were okay with that. We walked around the gift shop until our name was called. Once we were seated, it was only a couple of minutes before the waitress came. I couldn’t decide, so she came back at least three times until I was ready. Napkins, silverware, and our drinks were brought right away. However, the appetizer didn’t come until one minute before our food arrived. All of the food was great. Big portions of our entrees.
We didn’t leave hungry. There were so many pretty things in the gift shop, that we spent an hour looking before we made our purchases and left. The gift shop was really warm and I was grateful to get outside in the cool air.

I attended my college homecoming in Tuscaloosa on Skyland Blvd. Biggest mistake in my life. We waited over an and a half after placing our orders. This shouldn’t go unnoticed.

Not a good experience. The communication was awful. Menu items we asked for all of a sudden couldn’t be prepared. Not the level service we’re accustomed to.
The bread was molded but the manager said that she just took it out the freezer and that it was just from the grill. She removed the meal but when we shared our experience it was very dismissed.

A big shout out to the Barrel! A few months ago, I ordered take out, that once I got home was all wrong! I, emailed the company to voice my concerns, as it is a ways from my home! I love their food! wasn’t looking to get anything out of it, I just wanted improvement for my visit, if I even went there again! Money is hard to come by these days and I expect good food when I order it! They responded with a couple of gift cards for future orders! They were good for a year! Well, the year was almost up so I gave them another shot! The service I received was outstanding! The food was cooked to perfection and I enjoyed every bite! I just wanted to Thank The Barrel for doing better! I look forward to more delicious meals! You guys nailed it! Thank you for your response and I appreciate it deeply ❤️
