Gave this place a try for the first time today. The pizza was good, but unfortunately the service was not. The girl at the bar tonight (don’t know her name, she definitely didn’t introduce herself) wasn’t welcoming at all—no greeting, no thank you or you’re welcome when we told her thank you for giving us our order, no goodbye. Overall the place had a pretty uninviting vibe. We love supporting local spots, but the overall experience just didn’t feel good, so we probably won’t be back.

This place was great! We came with the kids and grandkids after going to the zoo. Our server Jess was super attentive without being pushy. The food was excellent and fairly priced. I had a house salad and a calzone. Both were fantastic. My wife had the vegetarian lasagna, also excellent. The slices were cut special for the grandkids. The pasta was fresh and tasty. I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve been going here for 6+ years and have generally had great experiences. Recently, though, when one specific staff member answers the phone, I’m consistently placed on hold for long periods (up to 17 minutes) and never reconnected. The rest of the staff is excellent, but this has happened too many times to ignore.

We walked in here in the early afternoon on memorial day after walking around Grant Park. Old school style to the decor and with the classic brick building it’s a really cool look. We got a pepperoni jalapeno pizza, bread sticks and a piece of cake. Everything was delicious. The pizza was really good and I particularly liked the flavor and crispiness of the crust. There was only one girl serving everyone in the place as it was early in the day and she managed all our orders and drinks while we waited in an efficient and friendly manner. Beautiful area around here too. I will definitely be back and can certainly recommend.

Service was good, the waiter was very nice. A lot of people were coming in to sit outside. I love to eat inside, the table I had to keep my foot on the base so it wouldn’t rock, and the place is kind of dated and the wall just looks bad.
The pizza was great we loved a great lunch before heading over to the zoo.

We stopped in for a pie in between our touristy stops last week. Had a great broccoli and feta pie. The crust was puffy and chewy, and the toppings were fresh and tasty. A great choice for a quick bite.

Friendly service and subpar pizza.
Way too thin and completely flops and starts to break apart as you pick it up.

I was trying to recall the name of this restaurant, and my Sister said ‘Yummy town!’. I have to agree. The calzones were good, the chicken Alfredo was well seasoned, and my nephew ate FOUR slices of pizza. Our waitress handled the entire restaurant like a boss.
Come here!!

’ve been a loyal customer at this local spot for a long time, which makes this experience especially disappointing. My order was mistakenly given away, and instead of resolving the issue promptly, I had to call back to ask about my missing refund. When I did, the person on the phone was rude, cut me off twice, and didn’t give me the chance to ask if the order could be replaced instead. She abruptly pushed through a refund and hung up without providing any information.
Mistakes happen, but the lack of courtesy and professionalism is what really stood out. For a community pizza place that I’ve supported often, the poor customer service left me feeling let down. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve how customers are treated.

I love this area and wanted to try the pizza and was disappointed. I ordered white pizza with veggie toppings and was overcharged because the cashier said it’s the only way to be entered into the computer. The pizza came out soft. The cheese came right off the dough because it wasn’t cooked all the way.
