Great place! I had fish and chips, YUM!!! and hubby had a burger. A must try is the mango beer. Don’t worry about what to watch, so many TV’s. We sat at the bar and we had the marvelous Sterling waiting on us. Attentive, not pushy. A very pleasant experience. We will be back.

We always have a good time at kickback but the first time at this location. Philly cheesesteak eggrolls were BLAND AND CHEWY.
Our server was attentive until we got our food, then we didn’t see her.. Had to ask other servers for our missed items that were not delivered with our meal as requested.. Salad, steak sauce, appetizer plates. Not a real sense of teamwork at this location.. Asking for anything from a server other than ours seemed to be taboo! Several times when we asked for something, we got the “I’m not your server” look. If OUR server was more attentive and present, then we wouldn’t have HAD to ask for anything.
Overall our meal was delicious and of course we’ll return!

Came for Superbowl Sunday. The crowd wasn’t big at all and the bar wasn’t wrapped as I came during 4th quarter. There were two bartenders and a manager behind the bar and it took them at least 5 minutes to greet me. 1.) Never got a friendly greet. I got a “you what you wanna drink?”, 2.) my wine was flat and I couldn’t even let her know because she left and never came back until my food came out and even then I had to flag her down 3) my order was made incorrectly.
I ordered the combo pasta and the whole reason why I ordered it was because it came with the broccoli made it. Well, it was never made with broccoli. When I inquired about it the bartender said “Yes, I think it does. But I think we ran out”. It would have been nice to have known that before. I probably would’ve just sucked it up and ate it anyway if the service had been better. Never an apology for the flat wine or incorrect meal.
Terrible service.

We are from out of town and our local friends suggested that we come and eat at this establishment because at some place that they like to frequent. I was actually very excited for us to try something new. Upon entering the building there were three ladies behind the counter who initially greeted us but we just stood there very awkwardly for like 3 minutes until I finally said hey this is our first time here and we don’t know your protocol after we had already been greeted. It was like they were waiting on the other one of them to cave in and seat is. So a lady takes us to completely empty section and just slaps our menus on the table and says you’ll sit here. We wanted a booth as I explained to the lady when she asked how many in our party but I didn’t want to engage with her anymore. The attitude was loud. My waitress was really nice and took our order. Our food came out in stages and from different people. My salad was mostly stems and brown. The waitress said she would get another one and I refused because the first one should have been fresh. The waitress said the manager would come over but never did. I ordered the ribeye medium and it was cooked beautifully but a third of it was just fat. I asked if the mashed potatoes were made in house and I was told they were but they didn’t look or taste like it. Hubby ordered shrimp and flounder and it was really good. My friend ordered ribs and she said they were good. The kid got a plain hamburger and fries and he ate the fries took one bite of a hamburger and abandoned it. We ordered the bucket alcohol drink and I like the way it tasted almost like grapefruit but I couldn’t taste any alcohol in it. We tip in cash so I tipped our waitress in cash. I was disappointed because I was told a lot of positive stuff from my friends who live in Greensboro. Then a second family came in and they seated this family right behind us and this entire empty section and their toddler constantly got out of the booth and was pulling on the back of my chair. And I’m trying to figure if the whole section is empty why did you sit them 3 ft from me. It was a large party and we couldn’t hear ourselves that our own table. I think what a few small adjustments this could have been an awesome experience. I wish the manager would have came over and spoken to me like I was told she would that way we could have resolved some issues because I asked to be moved when the issues with the pulling on my chair while I was trying to eat got on my nerves really bad. A little communication goes a long way. If I can’t get you to come over and do your job then we can’t get nothing resolved. I think the icing on the cake was when our drinks came out and the lady carrying them had filled them all down besides and we already had no napkins so I asked her for napkins for my table and she brought three napkins for the four of us to share. When I asked for more she told me she would be back and never showed up.

Came here with family, the staff were very kind and eager to help, but my family had a couple of complaints. My aunt waited 20 minutes for her silverware, causing her food to be cold which she made clear she was upset about, but I will say she was able to ask the staff at the front desk and they got it for her right away after that, my mother was missing a sauce lid. We asked once the checks came out, which unfortunately, a side of fries we didn’t order had been added to my mother’s tab, rather than the 2 family members beside us despite clarifying who is together, but similarly, I did get up to ask the front desk for a sauce lid and they provided it for me. Me and my mother also did not receive our sides until the end of the meal. Speaking of which, I think my order may have been misheard, I initially did not get my side of ribs, but then that was followed by the waiting of our broccoli. And I will admit, another family member mistakenly took an order that was presented to our table and looked like one of ours, which was taken away and then the correct order was given. I appreciate the staff being so kind with our big family, but ultimately it would have been nice to have less hiccups, though I couls understand if the location is understaffed. I still appreciated the energy of the staff despite everything. The last thing I will say, which I am unsure if it is becoming normalized or what, but my mother mentioned how they automatically added a tip onto the base price…which is kind of rude considering, last I checked, tips are optional. This would cause an odd/ uncomfortable confrontation to tell someone to either take the tip off, or re calculate it based on what someone wanted to pay. I will say if this is going to be a more common occurance, personally, I would not offer/ accept the offer to eat out more often.

Kickback Jack’s is one of my favorite restaurants. I go there every year for my birthday! The food no matter what you order is going to be great! I have never ordered anything there that I did not like. Thank you Kickback Jack’s on Battleground Avenue in Greensboro North Carolina. You rock!

The cheese fries were very cheesy and yummy. The ranch is very good. Caesar salad is average…tastes like a bag mix from the grocery store. Sad tiny croutons. The Ranch cheese curds were just ok. The steak looked like it was boiled!! No flavor at all!! This used to be a great place to eat, but the quality of food AND service has drastically went down hill.

Had to come back before I returned and OMG, this is a place I’ll visit every time I come to Greensboro. I ordered the same entree and it tasted exactly as delicious as the 1st time I had it. We changed up the appetizer to the cheesy fries and were not disappointed. The wings were great as was the spinach and artichoke flatbread pizza. The Caesar salad was crisp too. Great place!

had a really uncomfortable experience at Kickback. My friends and I walked in calmly, sat down, and weren’t causing any issues at all. A man approached us and told us we couldn’t have drinks because of “the way we walked in,” which was confusing since we were completely fine and speaking calmly.
He was not wearing a security uniform, and no one ever told us he was security. He never showed us a badge or any identification. The whole interaction felt unprofessional and unclear. We were respectful and tried to calmly explain that we were fine, but it felt like we were being targeted for no reason.
The situation made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I hope management can address how situations like this are handled so guests feel respected and properly informed.
