Lots of weird unique decor. Food was edible at best. It seemed to me to be very Bland. Honestly I think it’s the most bland food I’ve had since I had covid. I got the ham and pineapple hamburger. Honestly could barely taste the pineapple let alone the rest of the burger. Everything that came to my table appetizers and my burger my fries my onion rings was cold. The french fries in the onion rings were both hard.

I would best describe our server as disinterested. She may have just been having a bad day, who knows. I definitely will not be back.

Great food. Really friendly staff, if you’re looking for a true American style diner with a laid back atmosphere this is for you! We had breakfast food here and it was a good portion size and tasty! I didn’t get a chance to get a photo of the peach pie but I was told it “hit the spot”

We stop here on all of our trips. Love the food and great service. You never leave hungry. It is a must stop. They also play all the old classics.

Ordered catfish dinner. First time the fish was fresh and cooked fresh. Wasn’t bad. Ordered it again, and it was old. It had been precooked and battered again for that day. When fish is fried and you see brown spots it is battered and refrigerated or precooked which can make you deadly ill!

I called about the fish. The manager, who has the worse professional demeanor was snickering with someone else then began humming music as though I was holding or in an elevator then hung up. I called back, he answered their time. I informed him of the old fish that I received and he began talking over me not allowing me to finish a sentence. I simply hung up. They do t want me there, and expect me to accept whatever treatment they feel I deserve Is fine. I will never return. Just think, someone started that business making a lot of sacrifices to become successful. I can it wasn’t him.

Today the service was very very slow. We waited 50 minutes for burgers, soup and hot dogs. Then one of the burgers was wrong. When we shared our concerns we were told that they had busy morning (we were there at 5pm) and just catching up and that the cooks were tired. That is not an excuse and for sure not what you should ever share with a customer.
Yes they gave a discount but only because we insisted and there was no real apology.
I mentioned they should give customers a heads up if there is a delay do a choice can be made to wait. She said she was telling people to which is shared we had not been told. Two tables actually left while we were there and we were close to leaving too.
Normally we have loved out service, but today it missed the mark by a lot.

Not the servers fault and we did not hold that against them. For sure a lacking in the kitchen which could be seen from our table and for sure they must have been tired being they were moving so slow to get food out.

I was really excited to try this place out despite seeing the mixed reviews. I figured we’d give it a fair shot. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment.

All three of us ordered burgers, and as someone who eats hamburgers at least four times a week, I can honestly say I’ve never had one this bad. The bun and the patty were both incredibly dry and completely flavorless, not even a second go of the ketchup could save this burger.

About 20 minutes after our food arrived, the waitress came by and asked, “How is everything?” I replied honestly, “This burger is terrible.” She didn’t offer to fix it or even acknowledge the issue; instead, she brought the bill with no adjustments.

Fine, whatever. We went to pay up front, where the manager was handling the register. He asked, “How was everything?” I told him, “The burger was terrible.” He looked at me, swiped my card, and handed me the receipt—no apology, no attempt to make it right, nothing.

They had two clear opportunities to correct the issue or at least acknowledge it, but instead, we were met with indifference.

This place has a cool concept, but it’s terribly executed. I won’t be coming back.

My family decided to stop here for lunch on our way back home. We had a wonderful waitress who was just full of personality and was just fun to interact with. Our food was really good. I really enjoyed their chicken salad wrap and the English chips. Both my daughter and her dad also enjoyed their food as well. We decided that if we’re ever in Mesquite again, Peggy Sue’s will be our go-to place for a meal.

Food was good but nothing special. The service was pretty awful. It was about 30 min before they got our drink order then another 13 min before they took our order. Food took awhile to cook but I’m ok with that, I’d rather have fresh cooked food that takes a while vs quick food that has sat in a warmer. Food was good like I said but not memorable. After being at the restaurant for over an hour we got our food and one of our orders was wrong. My water was never refilled and no one ever came to check on us after we got our food. We ordered a dessert to go cause it was taking so long and didn’t want to spend any more time in there than we already did. We should have checked our dessert order before finally leaving cause after getting in the car and leaving we learned our dessert was not what we ordered. Pretty frustrating experience. I don’t know if they were short staffed, it didn’t seem overly busy, they seemed to have plenty of staff but I don’t know. I don’t think I’ll ever choose to go there again, cool atmosphere that reminds you of better times but that’s about it.
