I ordered from door dash but that’s no excuse for the food to be dry as it was and old… the chicken had to be day(s) old AND it was burnt!! The Mac was stiff! Lol and lacked flavor. The rice was flavorful but also seemed days old. Very! Disappointing! Take a look at the picture of chicken I’ve attached. You can see for yourself. Mr Mackey, you should definitely work on these complaints you’re receiving instead of being defensive!! Your business is at risk!

I can’t give a review on the atmosphere. I ordered out. The curry chicken and rice was Bland and dry. The string beans tasted as if it was boiled in plain salt water, No flavor. No sauce and the veggies are plain. The 2nd platter was red snapper which was pretty decent. But the rice and peas and cabbage were terrible..plain with no flavor or seasoning and the rice tasted as if it was days old. I didn’t bother to call to ask for a refund. Seeing all the other terrible reviews. I see this is pretty normal. I ordered from uber eats. Won’t make that mistake again. The quantity is great. The quality is trash. One and done for me.

Ordered through DoorDash wont eat here again. The food did not seem fresh and everything looked like it was just thrown together in the packaging. The jerk chicken breast was dry with sauce thrown on top of it, the jerk wings were dry and over cooked. The vegetables including the cabbage & green beans were over cooked and soggy. The Mac and cheese was dry & flavorless. The read beans and rice barely had any beans. Save your money.

We’ve been here several times over the years and recently been twice in the last month and honestly it’s probably gonna be the last for a while. Our last order was stew chicken and oxtail meal and I asked for extra gravy on both. My husband enjoyed his oxtail meal but it lack the extra gravy. My meal was down right horrible. Everything was dry, the chicken..the rice, no extra gravy and the meat was hard to get off the bone. And where was the flavor?! Wasted money on this meal.

I couldn’t put my finger on what was wrong with the curry chicken but reading the other reviews I must say it does seem like it was not fresh or something is off with it. Oxtails could use more seasoning and this strawberry rum cake for 11bucks is robbery. Please try to do better for future patrons.

Been going here for years! I know I can count on them when I have a taste for well cooked Caribbean food. I’ve tried almost everything and have never been dissappointed. It’s a small carryout, so, don’t go here expecting to eat there. And the parking area is a dead end little curve. So, you literally are better off calling your orser in and picking it up. But, I absolutely recommend them for the food!

I had this delivery and I wanted to say the food is good. The portions are very good. I had oxtails with the gravy and unfortunately, on a bad note, I have to write this ..the oxtails were full of fat and I was upset because the food was good I just wish there was more meat than gristle and fat. My husband ordered the stew chicken which was really good. I can’t give a review on the atmosphere because like I said it was delivered to me but again the food is good. I would like another opportunity to order and know that they got better quality of meat because the food was really delicious.

If you order a side of Mac and Cheese you’ll get a tiny cut out scare. Didn’t taste truly authentic. The cabbage is tasteless. If you have to drive a little further, or pay a little more just do that instead!

I ordered food from Mackey’s, through GrubHub. This was my first experience and I was really pleased. I tried the ox tails, curry chicken, and stew chicken with cabbage, white rice, and plantains. All of it was good and flavorful. The food arrived quickly and was still hot. The portion size was good for the pricing which is very important to me. I will be back for more in the future.
