The young lady who was putting out the different cakes was so sweet I enjoyed talking to since I found out we are both from Illinois. But the cashier needs to pay attention to what people order. Since I’m visiting I should have checked my bag before I left. But I pointed out to her I wanted one oatmeal and one chocolate chip pecan even my receipt says that. She gave me two chocolate chip cookies. I’m extremely upset by this because I only get to go here when I’m in town. Because if she can’t tell the difference between chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies she should not be working at the front of the bakery. And plus these desserts are not cheap!

After many purchases and awesome service , we have had a bad experience here at Edgar’s. An order was placed and discussed in depth with Jordan, the cake decorator. We arrived to a very disappointing purchase. Our cake was decorated incorrectly and brownie/lemon squares were packaged incorrectly. The staff tried to correct and were very helpful but just not the Edgar experience we are accustomed too. This was for our daughter’s engagement party and an important purchase for us. I hope any future purchases are in the standard we are accustomed to when purchasing from Edgar’s.

For my mom’s 60th birthday, we gifted her the most perfect cake from Edgar’s! In addition to the beautiful, heart-shaped, intricate design, it was made with red velvet cake — her favorite! It was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. Customer service was also 5 stars!! Always love Edgar’s cakes 🙂

This is a quaint little Place, they have fresh baked bread, pies, cakes, cheese balls, cinnamon buns as well as petit fours. There is so much more. If you are having a special occasion, they will have all the real goodies that you can even ask for. They also have a great chicken salad croissant, sandwich, chicken salad wrap, and a chicken salad plate, which is similar to a salad with chicken salad in the middle.

Called here to order for thanksgiving. I told her over the phone that was my reasoning. Instead of telling me they didn’t sell whole pound cakes or that I could just come in and get a Bundt cake. She actually took down my order had me pay over the phone. I was not expecting to get pre wrapped cakes that I could just get off the shelves. And the Asst. Manager comes out to tell me, we don’t sell whole pound cakes. IlIt takes 1 hr 28 mins to get to this location. I feel like I was robbed. I will certainly not be patronizing here again. Very disappointing during the holidays. Now I have to figure something else out with thanksgiving 2 days away.

The cakes are great! I love the strawberry and the caramel. I’ve had the spicy eggacado sandwich and didn’t really like it. Yesterday I got my husband the breakfast quesadella, he loved it. I had the loaded breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs, no meat. It was very good BUT they didn’t put any eggs in it. No eggs at all.
Update: went back and ordered the loaded breakfast bowl again, the eggs made it in there this time!! It was delicious. She actually gave me extra eggs since I didn’t get meat. I also got a caramel latte which was good as well as a mini heart shaped strawberry cake for valentine’s day and we all know the cake is always delicious! I ordered it in advance which you should always do if you know what flavor you want!

They used to bring their cakes into work all the time at the Regions Operational Center and it was very good. Since I needed something sweet for my wife’s birthday we stopped by Edgar’s in Hoover. She had never been in Edgar’s before and now upset with me for not bringing her in here sooner! She found two cupcakes with butter cream frosting and we got a cinnamon roll which was delicious. They also had orange roll samples at the cash register which my wive was raving about. I didn’t realize they had breakfast and lunch selections along with a kid’s menu. We will definitely be back to try something from their breakfast or lunch menu in the near future.
