We were seated immediately, the chicken Gnocchi soup was nice and hot and very filling. I was happy with my pasta dish which was more than I could eat. Lastly the service was great, which I guess is the advantage of going on a weekday.

This is at the Route 22 location in New Jersey. Silverware was placed on the floor, even though it was inside a bucket. There were three buckets stacked together, but the top bucket was first placed directly on the dirty floor before being stacked. As shown in the photo, that bucket touched the floor and was then used with napkins. The floor is not a sanitary surface, and this creates a serious food safety and cleanliness concern. This should not be happening at any restaurant, especially one serving the public. Please address this immediately.

The food is consistent. I haven’t been in many years but that first taste brought me back to my first experience 25 years ago. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. I do like that on their menu they have a separate section for smaller portions. Which was perfect for me. I grabbed another server to get me a water I thinking it was mine and it was not. He was very gracious and came right back with another water. Overall a nice experience.

I just had a very disappointing experience at the Olive Garden on Route 22. I went in for dinner and accidentally left behind a sealed envelope that had a gift card, a name, and all my personal information clearly written on the front. It only took me about 10 minutes to come back but when I did, the envelope was ripped open and completely tampered with.

When I called to alert the manager, (Imani ) her attitude was unacceptable. I understand wanting to protect your staff, but there’s a big difference between standing up for your team and ignoring obvious wrongdoing. Instead of showing concern or taking responsibility, she cut me off mid-sentence, raised her voice over mine, and said, “Have a good night,” before hanging up.

It’s clear that they didn’t care at all about what happened. Honestly, it seems like someone opened that envelope thinking there was money inside and the manager’s response only made things worse. If you visit this location, please be careful and do not leave any of your belongings behind. no one will take accountability.

For a chain restaurant, the food is consistently good. The service tonight was excellent. I have been here many times over the years. I really like the salad and the breadsticks.

I took one of the smaller portion items on the menu. It was more than enough for me.

⚠️HEALTH VIOLATION: Dirty cutlery for at least two or more!⚠️ (PLEASE SEE PHOTO)

This is our second appearance at this venue; one in some 15-20 years?!

For good reason, we came back to better tasting food. The creamy soup appetizer was amazing, the salad was great, and let us not get started with the bread sticks. By the way, the said three appetizers are unlimited, free options at this Olive Garden . . . A very good Italian gesture that makes you feel like family, we might add!

We did not understand why they randomly threw in two hot peppers in the salad though. We did not care for that and felt that decision negated from the salad. The cutleries were very dirty, and a colleague used their breath to make them “cleaner”.

We love Olive Garden’s fun, interactive Ziosk (mini Kiosk). It is way better than the ones at Outback Steakhouse. Please see our review for that restaurant. At Olive Garden, you can play fun facts and games at the table while also putting in your order for desserts and what not.

We have to praise Olive Garden for their somewhat fast service. The appetizers came out right away. The drinks took a little while; so long that we were finished with the said appetizers prior to our drinks coming. You would have thought that the drinks were the entrée! We asked for no ice but knew that we were going to get ice for expenditure reasons that we all know about. It is somewhat cordial to say yes to the no ice request; but, at the same time, it is even undesirably colder to give the customer unwanted ice anyway!

The entrée and desserts were just as good here than any location we have gone to and is certainly way better than Michelino’s and a place in Garwood, New Jersey (Rudy’s Italian Restaurant where everything was just a heavy tomato sauce forward sensation . . . Eww . . .!).

Lastly, we are sorry that our waitress, Kaylah, got tipped the lowest in comparison to all the majority waiters and waitresses that served us in the past. She seemed greatly disappointed. We understand! We also were most cordial and understanding for obvious reasons.

■A Quyloon Reese Report on Experiences & Custom (QR-REC)®:
•Food: 95/100 (Perhaps a little too salty after the entrée is completed; perfect creamy potato soup and salad minus the two hot green peppers that were randomly thrown in and had no place there really)
•Portion to Cost Ratio: 100/100 (“Okay” entrée sizes coupled with unlimited soup, salad, and bread sticks!)
•Comfortable: 75/100 (Too many hallways and niches that give a needless, somewhat stress induced labyrinth sensation)
•Hospitality (Staff): 90/100 (Kaylah was very professional as a minority female though left shredded chess on the table thrice without offering to clean it up; we did it on our own for those dining and also pushed in the chairs of other diners prior to leaving this establishment)
•Clean: 35/100 (not including restrooms; front doors were very filthy and so were our cutlery; shredded cheese remnants were left on table by our waitress three times!)
Overall Score: 400/500 (80%) ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
GOAL: “Our intent is to design innovative expository to provide daunting critiques that command attention and force heads to turn unapologetically.”
Winner 2025 of the Quyloon’s Tutoring/Teaching & Mentoring Services Best Overall Taste in Italian Cuisine Award (featuring Kaylah, who did very well minus leaving shredded cheese on the table thrice removed on our part)

Food was amazing as always. I will choose Olive Garden food over “frozen food” places anyday however the service was “iffy”. The servers took a long time to bring our beers and appetizers. Management was present which meant alot to me but the drinks took too long (considering draft beer is simple and the restaurant wasn’t that busy). NJ is known for being the “restaurant capital” of the USA and customers have high expectations which is why I gave this a 4 star rating. Food is excellent but if service was more attentive I would have definitely gone for 5 stars. Would definitely return here though

Dining at Olive Garden is like coming home to a comforting Italian meal made with care. From the moment you’re greeted with that warm basket of soft, buttery breadsticks and a fresh bowl of salad, you know you’re in for a satisfying experience.

The menu offers something for everyone—classic pastas like fettuccine alfredo and chicken parmigiana, hearty soups, and indulgent desserts. The portions are generous, the flavors are familiar and satisfying, and the service is usually welcoming and attentive.

Whether you’re out for a casual dinner, a family gathering, or just craving some comfort food, Olive Garden always delivers a relaxed, feel-good atmosphere. It’s not about being fancy—it’s about feeling full and happy. And in that, Olive Garden is a consistent win.
