We LOVE coming to Cracker Barrel whenever we’re traveling back and forth visiting family. It’s especially nice in the cooler months when they have the fireplace going… you can sit and watch and feel the fire!
Their gift shop has lots of cool items to choose from!

I’ll start off by saying that we love Cracker Barrel and eat the one near us regularly. Usually they are pretty consistent.

We ate at this location during a trip and it was pretty disappointing. Took quite a while to get our food, but I could’ve lived with that had the food not been so questionable.

I was served “scrambled eggs” in a configuration I have never before encountered in my life. I can only describe them as a fried egg that was stirred around a little bit while cooking. I’m not even sure how you get hired to cook at a Cracker Barrel if that’s what you think scrambled eggs are.

Then, I found a hair in my fried apples. My husband said his hash brown casserole tasted strange and left a strange taste in his mouth.

It was just overall a disappointing experience at one of our favorite and usually reliable chains.

The dining area was close to empty but still the wait to be seated was over 20 minutes. Staff was friendly but stressed due to short staffing. Biscuits were tough and salty. Both dinners were boring. Dumplings tough and okra bland. This chain should just give up.

Traveling with Mama O she likes the clearance section. I like the clean bathrooms and you can get in and our fast. I was hungry and its a quick go to that u know the menu. I ordered beef tips with corn and a loaded baked potato. Mamma O ordered a kids meals with beans and greens her favorite. Don’t feel cool with the beer it feels weird them trying to be cool or hip now. Stick to what yall know stop the nonsense of changing something that has been working for decades. Work on getting new food ideas and change up the menu some. Stop the nonsense about you have to ask and ask for bread now and its counted come on thats ridiculous. I like my biscuits with my honey and strawberry jam with butter. Why do yall raise the price but try to cut so many more corners. Leave the bread alone cut the ceo salary and worry about the little guys not the richest ones.

The beef campfire grill was delicious! My husband’s meatloaf wasn’t done in the middle. The sides, cornbread and biscuits were great! You could tell they were short-staffed, but friendly.

I originally wanted Chipotle, but when I pulled up sat and watched through the windows AND THEN READ THE REVIEWS… I knew I was going to have to find another spot.

So I thought CB. It had been a long time, so why not.

Now keep in mind that when I walked in and stood next to the booth waiting to be met by the attendant no less than seven employees made eye contact and not a one (even three that walked directly past me) would not utter a word of acknowledgment. Almost as if they were to say something, the gods of Greek yore would hold them accountable and strike them down for speaking and not helping.

I was standing there so long I almost took it personally for being the guy standing there with the Afro and one of the clowns of culture that even make my own good folks hang their heads in shame for the 15% that make us look bad. I didn’t want to take that line of negative thinking and instead chalked it up to poor and ineffective training by management and poor social skills of the employees who did not ask if I was ok, if I had been helped or if I need anything in general.

Eventually, a young lady came to the booth and seated me at a window table. I was later greeted by KAYLEIGH, and she was very good at attending to my needs. I got the feeling she would have rather been off work or something, but the possible pretending to care was good enough for me.

The food was good and I left satisfied but slightly disappointed with the service that came before the meal. Maybe there is something that goes on in that community I’m not aware of or maybe in was a bad day to pass through this town but I still give it five stars since it was my own unique experience and perception.

The food was delicious but it took longer than usual to arrive because of only 1 cook in the back. Also, I’m not sure if there was a hostess on duty. We waited for 5 minutes before a server sat us herself. Both of our meals were great!

Really disappointed that they didn’t have the Southern Fried Chicken and a big thank you to the manager for coming out and explaining that it was due to some faulty kitchen equipment. But hey, there was still plenty of good food to choose from. I ended up getting the Skillet Sirloin Steak Sampler which came with your choice of shrimp, fried or grilled chicken tenders and 2 country sides. I went with the fried chicken tenders , mashed potatoes and corn. My friend got the Grandma’s Sampler Pancake Breakfast (with country ham…yum!!) And those Loaded Hashbrown Casserole Tots with ranch dressing that we had for an appetizer was good too. And we had to have some biscuits!!

This location was very busy at the time we came. Saturday evening. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated. Even with how busy it was and found out that they were short-staffed, service was 10/10 here. Our waitress was awesome. Our food came out in a timely manner, our drinks stayed full, and the table stayed clean. All of our food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Definitely on the list to stop at again if we pass back through one day.

Great place for s relaxing meal. Unlike most breakfast joints, I didn’t feel any pressure to leave as soon as possible. Food was excellent. Pancakes were fluffy, over medium eggs cooked to perfection and the hash brown casserole was excellent. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Come for a relaxing delicious meal. The photo shows a $20 breakfast for two. Also don’t forget the gift store that has old fashion candies and gifts. Entrance is a little hard to find off main road.
