Bud Murphy’s Sports bar and restaurant has been located in Connellsville, Pa for over 70 years. It was started as a small local dairy bar by Bud and his wife Hazel Murphy. It has evolved over the years into one of the largest local gathering places in the area. Bud’s serves a wide variety of food and liquor. It is best known for its delicious pizza. With the addition of our newly remodeled banquet rooms Bud’s has also filled a need for a 1st class place to hold your party or gathering without spending a small fortune. Bud’s over the years has become known throughout the local comunity as a constant supporter of local sports teams in the area. This was the meeting place for a family to reunite. As soon as you walk in you can feel the family atmosphere. Clean and the aroma of italain food smells so good. Almost forgot to take photos as I watched people hugging each other as they see their friends and family dining at a table close by. We instantly became friends with the table next to us. The staff was super nice and very very attentive. We had a large table and it was nothing for the waitress or kitchen! I specifically ordered the pizza. It was awesome. The crust as so good and flavorful. It was crispy and definitely held the mound of toppings and cheese. Real cheese! Not too much sauce either. The reason for the 4 was that the mushrooms on the pizza were canned and fresh mushrooms would have made it a near perfect pizza. Sadly, we ate all of that pizza but did take a photo of the pizza next to us. Would 100% go back and pick up and to go containers for meals at home. Great great local place!!! Thank you and super affordable, almost too cheap.

I’m pretty sure it’s a rule that you have to go to Bud Murphy’s when you’re in town. At least, it’s my rule! The pizza is consistently delicious—I’d call it timeless. The staff is always great, but the real magic is the Sunday karaoke. There’s nothing better than belting out a few tunes with a slice of their amazing pizza in hand.

Have enjoyed many meals at bud’s tonight is the 1st time I was disappointed ordered double cheeseburger and it was not very good really seemed like a cheap meat burger tomato had a weird like chemical taste burgers looked and seemed different then couple of weeks ago but as usual pizza was good and onion rings were really good chicken parm seemed ok sauce was also different than couple weeks ago darker in color and not as tasteful not sure if they switched products or different cooks but also when we 1st arrived we were told to sit anywhere we wanted around 8 to 10 tables were open but all tables had not been cleared or cleaned we sat down and wait 15 mins before someone asked if we need help and we had to tell them are table needed wiped and that we cleared the table and put dirty dishes on the bar im not sure what changed but lots of new staff faces hope the next time we go it will be better

My husband and I had dinner at Bud Murphys this evening. The food was great and we had the most adorable little waitress. Her name is Haylee N. and she was probably the best server we have ever had. So polite and friendly. Excellent Service !

This place is great, it’s a well loved place in town & there are travelers who stop in Connellsville just for this place. The pizza is good, lots of grease & always tons of cheese, they do daily specials, wing nights, they have a buffet for some holidays. Always good for drinks from the bar. My family usually comes in groups of 8-12 people; but always call ahead for large groups to reserve a spot. They can get busy, but that’s expected for a place that can make up to 1200 pizzas on a day on the weekend.

Prices are incredibly low, and there is a variety of dishes to choose from. French onion soup is a no-go, but the rest of the dishes are good for the taking. Decor can use some updating, but if they can keep prices low, it’s a good trade-off.

Not only is this place incredibly inconsistent with their quality of food, They also tend to hire and keep awful and rude servers. Bud Murphy’s may have cheap food and drinks but it’s for a reason..it’s terrible! You can tell the owners and/or managers do not care for this business what so ever. I’ve only had bad experiences here in the past recent years. The cheap food is not worth almost an hour wait, being talked poorly to by servers, and awful service. There are much better places to spend your money and time at than this place that is unfortunately running to the ground. Bud Murphy’s is a hell hole compared to how it was when I was younger.

We love Buds!!! Great atmosphere, nice honest staff , great food!! I had a couple beers left my wedding rings while I ate wings, was a little buzzed totally forgot them. I called at 11pm. They had my rings!!! The bus boy was honest and turned them in. I made sure to take care of him the best I could. Thanks buds!!!! You have good honest staff!!!

Great price on food and Great customer service. Food comes out very quick. Beautiful bars and outdoor seating. Huge restaurant. Daily specials are the bargain in the whole state of Pennsylvania. Pizza is a must try.
