Service was amazing. Food was ok, salad was really great with everything a salad bar can offer. Steak had no flavor at all. Fried chicken was crispy. But dinner dishes lacked a lot of flavor actually. Dessert had good choices including a iceboxlemon pie that was perfect. Worth a try for a quick sit down but seating is tight.

After driving for nearly 11 consecutive hours (mentally, cause I just flew in from Anniston Airport) I needed to eat something. They told me that American servings were ginormous so I had to see for myself. Western Sizzlin (were the so hungry they ate the g?) seemed like perfect candidate to try some tasty food. The second I entered this establishment, I knew I struck gold. Nice employees, clean counter, a cross dangling from the cash register. My momma always told me to trust someone that eats for 2, and thats what I did that evening. I had only seen food like this in movies and that screen does not do the quality and smell of the food justice. They could serve this food at master chef and they would get promoted to michelin star chef in 34 minutes (thats the exact time it would take the make a apple pie). There were some people from the local 2nd & Charles that were eating there and they had never seen a Dutch person before so they came up to me and we ate like a family would (which makes sense cause thats how we do it over here). I did have some double smoked cheddar cheese and the cashier said “this is not your normal chedda” and the whole establishment laughed. These people are witty and have a PhD in foodology. I might just buy flight tickets next time just to visit my friends from Western Sizzlin and 2nd & Charles.

I haven’t came in here in a long time but decided to go this afternoon with my daughter and give it another try, we was debating to order a steak or just eat the buffet. We decided to just do the buffet and sit and eat. They usually have steak tips on the buffet. But of course the one day we wanted it they didn’t have it. The bar looked horrible other than the salad area and the dessert. We made us a salad and a plate of food and I literally spit almost everything out I put in my mouth. The Mac and cheese looked dried out and like it’s been sitting out for awhile. The salad and dessert was literally the only thing that was appealing. The waitress Alex was nice and attentive. The Internet or credit card machine went down and customers couldn’t pay with their card and I literally wanted to tell them just to save their money anyways. Wished someone would of told me to or order a steak to go. We get home and both are vomiting everything we ate there. I will never go back to that place it’s absolutely disgusting.

After a 10-hour drive, we stopped in Oxford, AL for the night. We’d never been to a Western Sizzlin before, and it sounded like a good option—but it didn’t quite live up to expectations. We hadn’t eaten much all day, so steak sounded appealing. The restaurant offers both menu and buffet options, and we chose the buffet to avoid waiting. There was a decent variety of food, and while it wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t all that great either. The price was decent for the variety. Overall, the atmosphere felt disorganized and underwhelming. Would we return, probably not.

I am local cub scout (m27) who loves to eat hotdogs at ceremonies and have been listening to wedding music from different cultures but thought I would go to town on some buffet style hot dog meats to use some of the chinese mustards. I ate about 6 dogs before realizing my hot dog was actually roaches, lizard shit (i can recognize the droppings from my training in scouts), rat bones, and other factors. I have been playing batman arkham city and the main game is around 6 hours long but i have been doing a lot of the sidequests so my playthrough has been taking a lot longer than that but i am hopefully hoping to be finished soon so i can move on to arkham knight. i am not sure if i want to play the one after that because a lot of people say that it is optional but i still think i’d like the experience of playing all the games since i’ve but this much time into it already.

We went there for a Christmas Party with our church on Friday, December 19th 2025. While our waitress was superb and she did above and beyond with her excellent service, the rest of the restaurant was not impressive at all.
I feel as though the restaurant could be updated in regards of the decor as everything looked rather dated in all honesty and the carpet looked very dirty and appears as though it could be replaced with hardwood floors or something.
The food wasn’t really appetizing either but the fellowship was very fun and that was the important part overall.

We love Western Sizzlin Oxford! Good food and they have the nicest servers we could ask for! We routinely have large party dinners here and the servers are always super friendly and never get irritated with us. They recently hosted a birthday dinner for my son’s 16th birthday with about 40 people and they were friendly, made us feel welcome, sang to him, didn’t get annoyed by some of our rowdier guests and even came outside to celebrate with the birthday boy as we surprised him with his new car! Can’t say enough about these folks, we haven’t met a bad server here yet! And of course we always show our appreciation with our gratuity.
