Saved the day and filled my stomach!
I stopped in at this small, quiet bar and restaurant, and not only did they serve amazing food — they literally saved me from being locked out of my car. The French onion soup is hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had, and the sandwiches were just as impressive.
The staff is friendly, down-to-earth, and genuinely care about their customers. The owner — a retired firefighter — ended up being the real hero of the night, helping me get back on the road. Talk about service that goes above and beyond!
All in all, it’s a cozy spot with great food, great people, and a great story to tell. And hey, if you’re going to get stuck somewhere, a bar with food this good isn’t the worst place in the world!

This was a spot sorta right nextdoor to my office. It’s always a great atmosphere. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the prices are fair. They have a pool table, as well as gambling machines. The best part is these machines and table are off in another room. So, it’s family friendly, sitting right outside the entrance to Indian Head Lakes.

Wonderful and sweet bartender and great cook! Extremely welcoming (especially the locals which is always a plus!), great hometown bar atmosphere. Burgers were great (my dog loved his! 10/10 barkworthy). Will definitely be stopping to play pool the next time i get to ricketts glen!

Food was gross, scummy atmosphere and will definitely not be back. Bartender was too busy taking pictures of herself and flirting with guys at the bar to take my order or refill my drink. Save your yourself your time and money

Me and my wife went here for lunch because it had good reviews, we ordered simple items, a bacon cheeseburger and fish and chips, the fries had no flavor no matter how much salt and pepper we put on them, the burger had no taste, I had to open to see if there bacon because it was soggy and had no presence at all, wife felt the same the fish and chips was bland, also had to order the fries separate from my burger because they didn’t come with it, who does that?? Service was fine, atmosphere was dive bar’ish but fine

The meat on my wife’s French Dip sandwich was rancid, bartender had never bartended a day in his life before and didn’t know where anything was or what anything was, the game room was nasty dirty and looked more like a neglected storage room. Some of the patrons were nice, some of them looked at us like, “What the hell are they doing in our bar?” They did take the sandwich off of our tab without asking them to, which was nice but we’d never go back.
