This is my second time eating here! The first time I ate here was amazing! Great food, Great people.
I tried the Valentines Dinner today. I was super excited but when I got my food. The Ribeye Steak was tough, I couldn’t really eat it. No flavor ! The shirmp & fries were OK!!! Maybe this was because they were super busy tonight. But anyways HAPPY VALENTINES

Breakfast burrito was very good. You have to ask for them as they are not on menu. One of us had a burger, it was very good as well. Would recommend as a quick stop alongside I20.

Stopped in looking for a good home style breakfast. Well I found it here. Cozy little county diner that serves breakfast though supper. Eggs & bacon cooked correctly, that always makes the day right. Coffee was hot & flavorful. All the locals where friendly & so was the staff. I’ll definitely be stopping here again.

Ate here for the first time today 4/12/2022 while traveling through the area. Delicious southern food. Ate breakfast at lunch time and it was good.

Very solid spot right off the highway for some good food at pretty great prices.

I’d recommend the onion rings and the chicken fried steak sandwich – maybe not the chili cheeseburger.

Captain’s log: Belly rumblin’. Morale low. Cravings critical.

After navigating through a wormhole and two construction zones on Highway 9, I touched down at Bucks One Stop Café—a glowing beacon of comfort food and caffeine, nestled somewhere between Earth and delicious oblivion.

The place looked like it hadn’t changed since the Carter administration… which only made it feel more like home. Neon lights flickered in a way that whispered “good decisions aren’t made here, but they sure taste great.”

The moment I entered, I was greeted by a waitress named Shirl—a woman who serves hashbrowns with the same energy as a fighter pilot in a dogfight. She handed me a menu and said, “You look like you’ve been through a black hole. Sit down and eat something.”

I obeyed.

I ordered the Lunar Lumberjack, which, if you don’t know, is a full-scale assault on hunger. Eggs over-easy like a Martian sunrise, bacon that could power a small moon, and flapjacks the size of Saturn’s rings. They weren’t just pancakes—they were planet cakes.

The coffee? Bold. Dark. Mysterious. Like it had secrets from the Andromeda Galaxy. I drank four cups. Time slowed down. I briefly saw my future. It looked satisfied.

Every bite was a journey—no rehydrated space paste, no flavorless protein cubes. Real food. Real greasy. Real good.

Around me, locals chatted about fishing, alien conspiracies, and whether the jukebox was haunted. Probably. But in the best way.

Before I left, Shirl handed me a to-go cup and said, “Next time, bring me back a moon rock.” I told her I’d do better—I’d bring an appetite.

Bucks One Stop Café: 5 out of 5 space stars. Cozy, quirky, and tastier than a Martian victory feast. If you’re ever lightyears from home and need a place to recharge, this café is your gravity.

I’ll be back… probably in time for lunch.

Great roadside stop with good ‘ole TX cookin and wonderful conversation. Menu surprisingly includes homemade beans, tamales, and enchiladas. Quality not often found at most truck stops anymore, lot can fit a few Big Rigs.

Great hometown style cafe with good food. Now featuring brick oven pizza starting at 1pm daily, I believe that’s what the sign said. The pizza I got the other day was really good and there is a buffet with fish on Fridays.

The food was okay we tried the Pizza place. I would mess a little on the sauce give it more flavor so it would help out with the ingredients that’s topped on it. I suggest the veggies are cut less don’t make them so small, the pepperoni was kinda not popping out maybe a thicker slice or could be me. But the oven baked pizza tast is what makes the pizza bread so yummy. We also had wings and those are nice and crispy recommend for sure.
