I had only vegetarian food here it’s a nice fusion place. One interesting part is that robots serve your food, which makes the whole experience fun and unique. We tried the corn soup, baby corn appetizer, and fried rice all of them were really flavorful and well made. Overall, it was a good experience, especially if you’re looking for something fun and a bit different.

Spice Rack delivered a genuinely premium dining experience without the premium price tag. The cozy ambiance and white tablecloth service make the meal feel elevated, while the overall cost still felt very reasonable for the quality and flavor.

My friend and I ordered the lamb seekh kebab, paneer shashlik, and chicken tikka masala. Everything was well-seasoned, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly made with care. Service was also a standout. Special thanks to Abhay and Ishwar for being exceptionally accommodating and going above and beyond; they exceeded my expectations for hospitality.

Highly recommend Spice Rack if you want excellent Indian fusion food in a comfortable, upscale setting.

This place feels like a small piece of home. The staff greets you with the warmth of an auntie insisting you eat more. The fusion dishes ;like paneer tacos and masala fries ;sound strange until you try them. They actually work!
Portions are generous, though I wish the spice levels were more consistent (sometimes mild, sometimes “call-the-fire-department” hot). Great for casual dinners with friends who like trying new things. Bonus points for their mango lassi ;thick, creamy, and just the right sweetness.

Had a wonderful experience at Spice Rack! The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and inviting. Perfect for a relaxing meal for family. The papad was fresh and crispy, the garlic naan was soft, buttery, and full of flavor, and the paneer bhurji was perfectly spiced and cooked just right. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving great Indian food with a lovely ambiance. Will definitely be coming back!

very bad service, I ordered Appetizer, Entry and Fried rice. They gave us Rice first, I thought they are giving other order food soon but not. I was so hungry and I started to eat rice first. I was waiting…waiting…waiting almost 20 min. but no one take care of us even no one look me too. after another 10 min. one waiter ask person who took my order about us why this customer waiting. did we served his order? person who took drder reply him I don’t know. I heared this conversation between that tow persons and I realize they forgot and not take charring properly and I explain him how you guys take care of your gusts. I said this is not good service, it is too late to eat Appetizer and entries afte eating Rice, they said SORRY. I did not accepted their SOORY. I left Restaurant after paying what they served foos. So I do not recommend to go there, their staff are careless.

A Flavorful Journey to India—Right from New Jersey: My Experience at Spice Rack

On a recent work trip to Philadelphia, I found myself yearning for something bold and memorable after a long day of meetings. Having heard plenty about New Jersey’s growing reputation as a hotspot for exceptional Indian cuisine, I decided to make the hour-long drive across state lines with a local friend. Let me say—this spontaneous detour turned out to be one of the best culinary decisions I’ve made in a while.

Tucked away in the heart of New Jersey, Spice Rack offers an experience that goes beyond just food—it’s a sensory immersion. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped by the warm, aromatic embrace of freshly ground Indian spices. It felt like a nostalgic leap across continents.

Adding to the charm was a subtle yet meaningful detail: a traditional steel water jug placed on our table—a small touch that evoked memories of dining in Delhi. We were promptly greeted by Pankaj, our server for the evening, whose infectious energy and warm hospitality set the tone for what was to come.

What truly made the evening unforgettable, however, was the seamless blend of tradition and technology. Robots—yes, actual robots—delivered our food with a polite “Namaste,” bridging the gap between ancient culinary heritage and modern-day flair. But rest assured, the human touch wasn’t lost; Pankaj remained attentive and personable throughout our meal.

For appetizers, we started with the crispy lotus, a delicacy that was crisp, well-spiced, and perfectly textured. The main course featured Daal Makhani and Paneer Bhurji, and both dishes transported me straight to the bustling streets of North India. The Daal Makhani, in particular, was a standout—creamy, smoky, and slow-cooked to perfection. I’ve tried versions of this dish in major food cities like Chicago and L.A., but none have come close to the depth of flavor I experienced here.

The restaurant itself is spotless—tables neatly set, and even the restroom was impressively clean. That said, not everything was without hiccups. We did find a strand of hair in our appetizer, which is always unfortunate, but the overall quality of the food led me to extend the benefit of the doubt. Mistakes can happen, and in this case, the kitchen more than redeemed itself with excellence elsewhere.

One curious note—an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our bill, even though we were just a party of two. Not a dealbreaker, but certainly something diners should be aware of.

As we headed out, I looked forward to the traditional Indian mouth freshener, saunf (fennel seeds), only to find a lackluster substitute of sugary crystals. When I inquired about it, the man at the counter—a bearded gentleman with a tired demeanor—responded with indifference and minimal eye contact. It was an underwhelming end to an otherwise vibrant and joyful evening.

Despite this minor lapse in front-of-house service, Spice Rack remains a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine Indian dining experience with a touch of innovation. The food speaks for itself, and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Pankaj, you’re in for an unforgettable meal.

I’ve only ever had extremely positive experiences dining in. Food is consistently wonderful! The waiter Abhay was thoughtful, attuned, and asked for feedback. He apologized for the delay in food even though there wasn’t much of a delay – food needs time to be prepped well. There is now a celebrity chef from India who makes the food here – Ajay – and the food was fantastic! It was a wonderful experience!

Walking into Spice Rack feels less like entering a restaurant and more like stepping into a handcrafted love letter to Indian cuisine. From the moment the aromas hit you—ginger, garlic, ghee, and something beautifully smoky—you know you’re in for a truly transportive experience.

The menu doesn’t simply list dishes; it invites you on a journey. Each plate arrives looking like a piece of art, but the magic really begins with that first bite. The butter chicken is velvety and indulgent, the sort of dish that makes you close your eyes to truly savor its richness. The paneer tikka is charred to perfection, whispering with hints of cardamom and clove. And the biryani? Let’s just say it could easily qualify as a national treasure—the rice perfectly fluffy, the spices layered like chapters in a novel you can’t put down.

But it’s not just the food—it’s the warmth. The service at Spice Rack feels genuinely heartfelt, like dining with friends who want nothing more than to share the flavors of home. Glasses are refilled with a smile, and recommendations feel personalized rather than rehearsed.

Whether you’re an Indian food connoisseur or someone discovering these flavors for the first time, Spice Rack delivers an experience that lingers long after the last spoonful of dessert. It’s bold. It’s comforting. It’s unforgettable.

Spice Rack doesn’t just serve food—it serves stories, memories, and moments you’ll crave again and again.
