Fantastic staff. Feels like home while you’re there. Busy place around brunch/lunch, but didn’t have a wait. Good prices and great portions. Chicken was overcooked and dry but it may have been a once off. Scrambled eggs were like Waffle House (which is a compliment). Biscuits are AMAZING. This is definitely a “heavy meal” kind of place. No fruit or light options for breakfast but you’ll leave satisfied if you simply want a filling meal! Will definitely return to try their lunch menu.

Stopped early for breakfast. Bacon was over cooked. Grits were not good at all. Pancakes were good. Eggs were cold. The biscuits were absolutely awesome. The portion of the food was a very good size. Will try again but for the BBQ next time

We stopped at Dick Russell’s for breakfast before driving back to Texas. I ordered a bacon omelet with grits and biscuits with a lemonade.
I wasn’t impressed with the grits or the omelet, but the biscuits with the jam were amazing.
The servers were great. They were super nice and welcoming. We will visit again to try the lunch options.

Amazing food and SPECTACULAR service. I got the Super Sampler Platter, and it easily could have fed two hungry people. All the meat was delicious, and the garlic bread was HOT and FRESH!
Donna was running the dining room with great efficiency and was making sure that every customer was more than taken care of. She greeted every customer in the building and checked on everyone a minimum of 3 times while I was there—just great service. This business is lucky to have someone dedicated to customer service like this!!
I left happy, hungry, and ready to go to bed. They made me feel at home. Can’t ask for better from a BBQ restaurant.

I passed the billboard for years and finally had a chance to try it. I ordered to go.
Food: Franchise quality food at specialty store price. I had the sampler, all meat was dry, and unseasoned with a sweet bbq sauce. I also have the feeling I’m missing an item or 2 from the menu description. My wife had the shrimp platter, to her was strong of onion but to me unseasoned. The biscuits were too salty for me to eat. I enjoyed the sweet potato and mashed potatoes. The onion rings were too salty for my preference, but i enjoyed them.
Service: once I was noticed, service was great.
Atmosphere: enjoyed the rustic decor. Paired with the music, it feels like stepping back in time in a texas diner.
Overall: i satisfied my curiosity, but the food i had tonight wasn’t worth $50.

This gem here is an amazing spot to eat at The food is hot, fresh and has amazing flavors!! It was hard to decide so we had to try a few things!!! Man oh man!!!!! Delightful staff amazing people. We evacuated Tampa Florida due to a storm and there was someone who heard and paid for our meals! They would not tell us who but we are just beside ourselves. We did not realize it till we had ordered food to go for our kids at the hotel and we want whoever to know from the bottom of our hearts thank you so much. We absolutely appreciate the kindness and knowledge it helps with getting our family back home to help with clean up efforts. Thank you so much!!! My kids said burgers were amazing!!! My spouse ordered a pork sandwich and bacon egg and cheese biscuit and man oh man he loved it! I got steak and eggs!!! And amazing flavors and just so yummy!!! Thank you again guys amazing place! We will definitely be back!!!!

Our first visit. Started with a bang with the delicious biscuits but faded fast when we ordered the sampler to share. The pork shoulder must have been from yesterday and the ribs were over done.

Great food great lunch special prices you’ll spend 10 dollars at McDonald’s for nothing or for10. 95 you can get. 2 side and a hearty portion meat loaf cat fish hamburger steak. Or whatever they have on there special for that day also you get corn bread or a roll and banana pudding
