We took our soldier to brunch here this morning. Started with the Mardi Gras Beignets and we ate them so quickly I have no picture. Absolutely delicious. I had French toast w a spicy sauce and fried chicken and fresh strawberries. Amazing. Chicken was tender and moist and the sweet plus the savory oh my goodness wow! My husband had Eggs Bene Cochon. The hollandaise was the best he ever tasted. Silky. And our son had the creamy French toast. I would move here to dine here every week that’s how delicious the food is! Charming place and fast friendly people. Thank you Ruby Sunshine for the taste of the South!

We visited Ruby Sunshine yesterday and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The building itself looked great on the inside, clean, bright, and welcoming. The service was excellent. We were seated very quickly, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The food was very tasty. We both ordered the three-pig omelet along with the beignets, and everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely be back

We are visitors to town and we came across Ruby Sunshine for brunch. We didn’t have a wait for a seat. The vibes are nice and the food and service are even better! I like that they have a cocktail bar! We had Kandace as our server and she gave us great suggestions and fantastic service. If we are in town again we will stop by for more Louisiana style cooking!

This Valentines Day brunch was amazing, mostly due to Kandace. She was friendly and quick with service. I have a two year old so we ordered for them first before even looking at the menu. She was able to tell me the kids options immediately and get it in for the kitchen. I kid you not, not even 10 minutes later, our little one was calmed and eating so we could order our drinks and food. She regularly checked on us, bringing napkins and refills quickly. The overall atmosphere was great and the food was good. Could have been warmer coming out but not a big deal. Still fresh. I would definitely come back and probably ask for Kandace lol

This is my favorite breakfast place in the whole world. I drove out from Alabama to South Carolina to meet my boyfriend for the week and came across this amazing little breakfast restaurant. The service is astonishing. The food was absolutely incredible and the atmosphere is like sunshine very warm and happy. I will continue to come back.

I’m giving this 4 stars because the hostess I felt was quite rude. When I asked for an estimate about the wait time I was told “well you just joined the list so…”. Having been in a queue a time or two I know how lines work. On to the food. The beignets were interesting as they are not traditional but rather puff pastry squares that are deep fried and then powdered with sugar. Fine but not what I was expecting. The chicken with French toast bites was very very good. The omelette that I ordered was also very good but given the price, I thought the omelette would’ve been a little bit bigger, but it was a good omelette so I won’t complain about the taste. Overall, a good experience and I would recommend coming here.

Food was exquisite. We ordered the flight of mimosas, the avocado toast, eggs blackstone bennnie, and beignets. Delicious and beautiful presentation. Roman was our waiter, he was kind, personable, professional, proactive with needs, and very respectful. Definitely the spot to go to.

Stopped in for brunch . ICE cold. Lept our jackets on the entire time. Asked the waitress to reseat us or tirn it off but she agreed it was super cold too. Benedict was excellent – 5 stars. The ham and cheese omelet too. However, our waitress was preoccupied with her phone and literally made 30 trips to the table with things she forgot. First it was the horrible coffee that was super bitter. Waitress agreed amd stated people often complained about it. Im from Louisiana and that was not Cajun coffee! Then I ordered a Southern BLT. She brought an egg and bacon sandwich with potatoes. I asked her politely to fix it and explained what I wanted. She had the kitchen staff bring me a deconstructed plate of the same thing. I tasted it as everyone else at the table was already finished but left my plate full. Disappointed in the place as the Ruby Slipper is tried and true in Lousiana. Food that was correct- 5 stars. Ambiance 3- cold but clean. Cute wallpaper in the bathroom

Enjoyed Brunch with my friends and daughter. My friend ordered a flight not pictured the flight she had the best flavor in my opinion was blue berry lavender. We ordered hot honey chicken and French toast bites. It was ok but fried too hard for my personal taste. Also had a side of potatoes those were really good. The ambiance is great clean establishment out Server Raine was wonderful delivered excellent customer service checking on us giving options on food choices. Would love to try something else one the menu.
