North Shore food truck scenarios best. We just tried its 100% taro fries and they were very good. The service was excellent and the nice shaded sitting area was a plus. Next time I will definitely try its smash burger.

You have to try this place to appreciate it. Their burgers are as delicious as they are unique. When I first saw the purple taro buns, I was afraid they would be heavy, but they are the opposite: light, fluffy, and tasty. And if you’re into flavor and texture, you’ll love taro fries, with their crispy exterior, tender interior, and unique flavor profile. I could go on, but you really have to experience Taro Hut for yourself — and you should!

Good food, good atmosphere, great people working here, and purple buns to top it off? Love it! Both the taro and potato fries are great options too so if you’re like me wondering which to go with you can’t miss with either!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding — A Must-Try Island Experience!
The Taro Hut food truck is hands down a hidden gem that captures the true taste of the islands in every bite. The Palusami Bowl is pure perfection — rich, creamy coconut flavor blended beautifully with the soft, savory taro. Each bite feels like comfort food elevated to gourmet status. It’s hearty, flavorful, and full of that authentic island warmth you can’t find anywhere else.
And don’t even get me started on the Taro Fries! They’re cooked to crispy perfection — golden on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned with just the right touch of salt. Dip them into their house fry sauce, and you’ll be hooked instantly.
From the friendly service to the unforgettable flavors, the Taro Hut delivers an experience that’s both comforting and crave-worthy. If you see this truck — stop immediately. Your taste buds will thank you!

First time here and won’t be the last! Burgers were so good and juicy! Taro fries were absolutely delicious! Easily the best burger we’ve had on island.

We came here for lunch and had to try it! What a unique deal they have here. The presentation was awesome, but the bun tasted normal and was a bit more dry than a normal bun. It’s a super cool spot and unique to the area. Worth a stop if you’re in the burger mood.

#TaroEats:
~ HUT BURGERS: DA BOMB BACON – 5/5
This was one of the best and Unique Burgers I had…
Beef Patty, Cheese, Crispy Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Pickles Grilled Onions. Whats not to like? A perfectly done burger with an exotic Island flavor profile. Everything just worked so well together. That Toasted Ube bun takes it to different level.
I’ll most definitely be back to try their other items…

The food was so delicious!!! We ordered the bomb burger and it was the actual bomb! The best burger I had here in Hawaii. Gabe and Kaui are a phenomenal duo. Both are very attentive and a master of their craft. I would highly recommend their burgers and the taro fries are to die for. I sure am going to visit here again. If you are in the North Shore area make sure you check them out.

Locals were right, food trucks are the way to eat around the island. It’s the opposite here in Texas. People fear food trucks for lack of freshness and quality.
We enjoyed everything we tried here. Taro burger was great. Very filling. Tasty and vegan.
Would recommend.

If you decide to try the national Hawaiian burger made from a taro bun, then take the time to travel and come here. This is a million times tastier than a regular American burger. We also tried the Hawaiian spicy pineapple burger. I don’t even know which was tastier, both burgers deserve a Michelin star. The bun itself was incredibly tasty, as if it had just been baked. The meat in the cutlet was juicy and the meat tasted like meat, it was truly local, real meat grown in this jungle. Sooo delicious. Fresh lettuce, tomato, a huge egg with a runny yolk – these are all the things I love so much. All products had taste. We also tried the taro fries. It was freshly prepared, with fresh oil and sprinkled with delicious Hawaiian coarse salt. After this place you will never again say that Hawaiian cuisine is “so-so”. And the pineapple in the Hawaiian burger….mmmm….it’s divinely delicious… Thank you guys for this incredibly pleasant experience, taste and pleasure.
