We went on a Friday morning. The cafe was at 50% capacity. The staff was welcoming. The service was fast. Our breakfast was good.

A quaint little spot that serves breakfast and lunch. Definitely 1 of the best breakfast spots in CMC.
The food is delicious, staff’s super friendly and the service is quick.
Only downside is they get crowded early and when they’re crowded it can be somewhat of a nuisance to park.

Great local hometown feel. Very friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Even the customers are friendly and conversational.
Breakfast choices are always solid with decent selections. Had the ham steak this time around. Very tasty though a little fatty. Made for 2 meals.

Dynamite Eggs Benedict! I was just passing thru from Cape May and kind of stumbled on this place. Waitress was great. Charming atmosphere. Prices are great! I’ll be back for sure!

We have been coming to this spot for breakfast for about twenty years and although the name has changed over time it is still the best breakfast spot at the shore. When the locals love a place you know it is good!

When in the Cape May area, Sunnyside Cafe is one of the most stop spots that always delivers a great breakfast. Prior to Sunnyside, it was Clary’s which was also great. Happy to know Sunnyside picked up when they left.

No matter where you go on a morning in the peak summer season, there will be lines. On a recent Sunday morning visit, there of course will be a line which moved quickly.

Upon sitting down, coffee was poured which is always a great start to breakfast. I ordered the Western Omlette (ham, onion and Peppers) and my son ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon. Food came out pretty quick and was hot and tasty.

While there were a lot of vacationers such as myself, judging from the servers interactions with certain customers, this place is also where many locals come.

One thing that raises that raises the bar from ordinary to extraordinary is the variety of hot sauces that are available to try out. It should also be noted if you like a particular sauce, it also also for sale. My favorite this meal was the mango habenero. If you like the heat, try the Naga Jolokia pepper sauce. Use it sparingly as it has a lot of kick.

All in all, Sunnyside is a solid place to grab some breakfast with good food and service. Located off Exit 9 on the GSP, it is fairly close to the Wildwood’s and Cape May.2q

Pleasant little restaurant with a unique decor choice inside and standard cafe fare.

Sunnyside Cafe is less expensive than other options in the area, but the food is still top notch. It’s also served as quickly as the sign outside implies.

The pumpkin french toast was a seasonal delight and eggs cooked over medium were perfectly runny without being raw. The cook smashed & grilled the scrapple as requested. Our server was prompt and upbeat.

An interesting touch was the celestial decor. It wasn’t overdone or obtrusive, but enough to give Sunnyside Cafe its own personality.

Ordered 2 omelets from here and only one of them was very tasty. The potatoes it came with looked underbaked and under roasted. Too much extra peel mixed in. Looks like someone did an awful job with them. The bread was alright. However….the belgian waffle was my biggest dissapointment. It did NOT look as advertised and when I saw it come dry and without any of the toppings, i was not going to eat it. It looked like really sad honestly . I only got butter and syrup on the side which wasnt what it was originally supposed to come with. Also overpriced for it.
