This was an amazing event. The chef was great. He was funny engaging, and it’s a delightful representative. He only had been with the Benihana for 18 months.
I had with me three guests one from London to from India, so they were not familiar with the establishment. They were an all by the show. They ate more food than they have ever eaten one of which was a vegetarian. He was delighted with the tofu steak, the vegetables, the freshness, the taste, and of course the entertainment were more. Can you ask for the waitress as well was excellent right amount of attention perfect service and at the end of the day we came away for and happy we will be back.

I have been to this location a few times. Staff is great how ever they always seem to be behind. Even making reservations in advance I’ve waited an hour to be seated. Most recently I had reservations at 6 and wasn’t seated until after 7, then we had to wait almost an hour just to for a chef. This recent visit was busy so I get it but it’s not our fault when we arrived on time and I’m over hearing your staff canceling reservations for no immediate response when calling out names. I’m also glad I stood by I was waiting in the car came back in for the restroom and over heard that as I walked in. I asked if I would be called or texted when it’s time. They told me yes but they were not contacting people via phone call or text just shouting. On top of that the sit us in a full table if you counted the number of adults we would be a perfect fit. But one party has 2 high chairs taking up space forcing me to sit away from the table with one leg in and one leg out. It was extremely uncomfortable I would have said something but at that point we have been waiting for ever and we were starving oh well I sacrificed it. The food and chef and server were great incredibly nice I just wish Benihana being the restaurant it is can be better prepared or atleast do something as a gesture for the long delays why over book who knows I hope it improves.

We came for late lunch on a Saturday. We went right to a table and more started coming to eat in the 130-2pm window, but still plenty of room. Our waitress was tenured, knowledgeable, and professional. Our chef was really good, even made a beating heart. I had spicy fried rice for the 1st time and I will ask for it next time. We had a lot of seafood, some steak and chicken too. I’d recommend them all. We left full and satisfied.

They have good nigiris, sushi rice is in right consistency. They dont serve premium bluefin toro stuff.
Salmon nigiri 3/5 – $8.5 2 piece, not fatty. Bland taste.
Yellowtail 5/5 – $8.5 2 piece, their best fish is this. A bit fatty and great if you can get it lightly seared.
Snapper 4/5
Passion fruit matcha 5/5 – surprisingly good, lightly sweetened, passion fruit aroma is good. Free refills.
Their wasabi is pretty bad.
Their suggested minimum tip is 18% lol
They are good enough for quick average quality sushi lunch.

Derrick, our chef was amazing! He entertained our entire table while cooking and cook our food perfectly. It was delicious! Our server, Eh Dah, was great too! It was our first time getting the Yakisoba. Would definitely recommend it.

My family and I had a 3:30p.m. reservation (Sunday), so we were one of the only tables in the building. This was the best time to come, as we were leaving (around 5) it started to pick up. Samantha was the server, and she was great. Evan was the cook, and he was fun and talented. The food was delicious. We will be back!

Had a great experience here overall. The atmosphere was fun and the service was solid from start to finish. Our server Tarek was friendly, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly without being overbearing. Chef Tim was awesome, engaging, entertaining, and clearly knew what he was doing. The food came out hot, well prepared, and tasted great. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

Food was good, however one of the steaks was over cooked for our grandson, 2 different types of bottled beer wasn’t very cold at all, mich ultra and coors light, no blue mountains,when asked if they had colder ones she said that’s all they had.
When I made the reservation I told them we are celebrating my grandson birthday, she said she would note that, then it was “nt recognized, however there was 2 other table there while we were there that was recognized.
Again, those issues weren’t that bad, it was the womens bathrooms were very disgusting, I used one stall when we first arrived, the toilet was nasty, then leaving I used a different stall thinking it would be better, No, it was worst than the first stall…when bathrooms are disgusting, you question how is the kitchen where food is, for that reason, I wouldn’t be going there again and won’t recommend that location, In Scottsdale.
