Fantastic food, unbelievably friendly service, and everything was absolutely spotless! ️✨ From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed and comfortable. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience even better . It’s not always easy to find a place that combines delicious meals with such a clean and inviting atmosphere, but this spot truly delivers on all levels.
We originally stopped by while heading back home , and it was such a great decision. In fact, we came back again in January 2026 — and guess what? Same amazing food, same wonderful staff, same excellent experience! This time we both ordered the house burrito, and it was absolutely delicious . Our second restaurant experience in Bondurant was Bonita Mexican Grill. We stopped by for dinner last night and were surprised at how busy it was for a bit later in the evening.
We started with the Cheese Dip (regular size). We were a little disappointed at how small the dip was for $6, and the dip itself was only warm and not hot. The meals we got were the Choripollo and the Chimi Birria.
The Choripollo is a very common dish that we like to get to judge any new-to-us Mexican restaurants. It was a solid option, but the part that surprised us was that there were not any tortillas included. We would get this again, but apparently have to order a side of tortillas.
The Chimi Birria is one of their “new plates” and not on the normal menu. I really like this one. I thought the whole meal always really tasty and had good flavors across the cheese sauce, Birria meat, and consommé. Definitely get this one while you can, just in case it doesn’t get added to the regular rotation.

With a thousand Mexican restaurants around the metro, this one is up there as top three currently, in our eyes. Fresh chips arrived soon after we were seated. Salsa was rich, flavorful and not too chunky. Cheese dip was great consistency and not super runny like some restaurants. I had Fajita Jalisco, which was steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas. Sizzled for a good 5-10 mins after it hit the table. Veggies were perfectly sauted, and not chunky and hard like …other places. Shrimp was plentiful.
Wife had the Steak Bonita, and that was their 8oz ribeye steak and 6 shrimps, sauteed veggies and fries. Again, steak was cooked as requested, veggies on point and the FRIES???? YEAH THEY WERE BREADED, CRUNCHY AND DELICIOUS.
My toddler approved of their steak, which is the most important judging aspect! Haha, go try this place out. It’s pretty great.

Exactly what you would expect from an authentic Mexican restaurant. My husband loves their salsa because it was on the sweeter side. I asked for their hot salsa and it had a great smoky heat to it. The shrimp fajitas were delivered sizzling and delicious- you could tell that the vegetables were fresh! The beef burrito did not disappoint.

Very nice place! Tons of food, more than I could actually eat. Today I had the one called “Pollo Ranchero”, which was grilled pieces of chicken breast wrapped in bacon, with veggies, rice, beans and tortillas. They bring chips and salsa with your beverage, so you can have it as appetizers for free, I guess.
