MiMi’s Café in Friendly Center is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The service is consistently excellent—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I was seated with hardly any wait, which is rare these days and such a pleasant surprise.

I liked it, the service was a little slow, the food was okay, I had the barria omelet with roasted potatoes, my girlfriend had the brunch trio. Omelet was pretty good 6/10, the meat was just a tiny bit dry, brunch trio was 6/10 the waffles were good, but not warm at all, pancake was a little rubber like, French toast was good though.

We reserved with a party of 12 for a Shower. The Hostess welcomed us, smiled, & was very friendly & polite when we arrived. Our Waitress, Kallie was great; she was patient, & friendly as well. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the food was fresh & tasty. We never felt rushed. Afterwards, the Manager, Chloe, came to our table, & volunteered to clean up all our party decor, etc. She talked to us & was very professional, courteous & personable.
This was a pleasant dining experience, an overall 10/10. I recommend this restaurant.

They were a bit busy to the point they weren’t able to refill drinks for a while, and they brought out the main course almost immediately after the salads which is unusual, but overall the food and atmosphere was so good we didn’t mind that much.

Update 7/17/25: Service and food have gone downhill. What was a 5 is now barely a 3. The Salmon wasn’t blackened, again. The tenders were overcooked. The mashed potatoes were stiff and cold. The server didn’t care. So disappointed because it isn’t cheap to eat here.
This is an amazing gem! The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is sublime. The service is fantastic. They have a very diverse food and beverage menu, a wide section of seating and parking. Conveniently located at the front of Friendly Center, a must try for your next dining experience. The blackened salmon was superb!

Visited for breakfast as a large party and had no issues getting seated with our reservation. We had Geo as our sever and he was friendly and attentive. The food came out rather quickly and was delicious as usual. Our party tried a little bit of everything. I had the crab Benedict and if you’re a Benedict person i would highly recommend. I love how they offer the full menu all day. This place is very popular so be sure to make a reservation.

This place can be the best breakfast place in Greensboro, but the service is comsistantly terrible and the food is inconsistent. DO NOT order togo, they will box anything that comes from the kitchen, absolutely zero quality control. It is really unfortunate how downhill it has gone in the last year or so. This was our goto breakfast spot for years, we keep giving it another shot hoping they will turn it around. Really unfortunate because when made correctly, the food is so so good.

We decided to try again and we’re rewarded with cold pumkin lattes that were gross. And shitty torn pancakes with hand and finger prints from the cooks.
I stand by my previous review. The food is great when recipes and procedure are followed. The management team at this restaurant will sell anything that comes out of the kitchen no matter how burnt, torn, wrong, cold…or anything else. It’s a shame

I must say that the French onion soup is one of the best I have ever eaten. As for the other people at my table, they loved the food. Of course it was lunch time and noisy. Highly recommend.

Carolina Dog Training Club had their Christmas dinner here at Mimi’s Cafe. The room was decorated beautifully as well as having a very large TV screen with a video of a living room with a fire in the fireplace, while snow was falling outside. Christmas music was also playing. I ordered the French pot roast over a bed of mashed potatoes with green beans as a side. The food was soooo good I highly recommend Mimi’s. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was wonderful!!! The cost was reasonable for the amount of great food served. Mimi’s Cafe in Friendly Center, Greensboro, NC…give them a try, you’ll never regret the time spent at this establishment.
