Man, do I love a great diner. I had the haddock stuffed with crab for dinner last night and the meat lovers omelette for breakfast this morning. Fast friendly service. Everything I’d expect in a diner and more. My waitress dang it I forgot her name now but she was over the top good. She didn’t just slap the food down, She was very conscientious. She checked back twice to make sure everything was okay. Highly recommended.

Middlesex Diner is a must to stop at on road trips. I first heard about the diner from someone who went to college here and try to stop by on my way through PA. There are may breakfast options that are available all day, and that’s usually my go-to. The meals are fairly priced and filling, and the service is excellent.

Every time I come here I get the grilled ham and cheese with fries and ranch dressing on the side. Delicious as always. My waitress was very attentive and we never had to ask for refills bc she was on top of it. I forget her name unfortunately. We were seated right away and had our drinks within 2 minutes. She came and took our order and the food was out within 15 minutes. It was very hot and fresh. She came to check on us several times throughout our meal. Even after finishing and receiving our check, we stayed for about an hour or so longer and she would still come to check if we wanted anything since we stayed.

I wouldn’t go above or below 3 stars for this place. The location is convenient but that’s about it. Food is just ok, service is just ok, and the atmosphere is just ok. If you need a quick bite to eat early in the morning it’s nice, but I wouldn’t go here for dinner. Good for family but not for friends. Everything about this place is as average as it gets. It’s better than most diners in the area, but that’s about where the praise ends.

Had to catch a train from Harrisburg to NYC a couple mornings ago, and was trying to find a nice diner to get a quick but delicious breakfast at beforehand. Middlesex Diner did NOT disappoint! We were immediately greeted by a very friendly hostess, and seated right away. Our server was fantastic, and had our drinks out very quickly. I ordered the short french toast, which was by far the best french toast I’ve ever had. With it, I ordered 2 scrambled eggs and bacon, both of which were large portions, and delicious. My roommate had a waffle, eggs, and bacon, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He specifically mentioned the bacon, saying it was exceptional. This is the best diner we’ve been to in years, and we love a good diner. I wish we had one even remotely comparable near us, because I’d be visiting it several times a week. Highly, HIGHLY recommend to anyone traveling! Will 100% be back the next time we’re in the area! One other thing worth noting is that the prices are VERY (almost too) reasonable. Cannot recommend this diner highly enough!

On a trip with my fiancee decided to stop in here, had an awesome experience! I love the fact they make they’re cheesecakes and cakes fresh each day so options change.

It had a huge menu! We just stopped in for soup and salad late at night. The creamy tomato soup was delicious, the french onion soup was very good and the Greek salad with homemade Greek dressing was
Good. The salad could have been better if they had used fresh feta straight from the block instead of the precrumbled kind. Also, it would have been nice to have seen a few purposely vegetarian options, such as a tofu stir-fry and
dishes given the option of being prepared with Impossible Burger, like their burger menu, meatloaf, meatballs, etc.

Where to start…. the hostess/greeter seated a party of 3 with only 2 sets of eating utensils. My wife asked for a cream chipped beef meal, and asked that her home fries not have the chipped beef on them, it covered more than half? My daughter and I both had a side of grits which were very soupy very runny. As shown in the pictures two plates had significant damage(chips in them) as well as a hot chocolate mug, these are issues that are a direct result of multiple employees that just don’t care, the plating should have been caught by the cooks 1st and when they failed the server then should have caught it. Speaking of the server not just our sever but multiple servers were wearing sweat pants, and I spotted 1 server drinking in a service area (directly behind the customer eating bar) in plain sight of all the guests. Another employee was observed playing on his phone and also talking on his phone in the dining room while all but laying down at a service station. To speak of the food itself it was at best below average. The toast under my wifes chipped beef was tough as leather.
All in all this place in my opinion should not even be open for business. This was our 2st and guaranteed last visit to this place, and I would strongly urge everyone to stay clear of this establishment.
If just drive a few more minutes toward Carlisle, you will find a place Moonlight Diner to be a vastly better place to dine, better in every way imaginable.

Great place! Our waitress April went above and beyond! I had the turkey and dressing dinner. It was good! Initially I ordered their mushroom soup and found it very bland. April noticed I did not eat it and offered to replace it. I chose the chicken and rice soup which was much better! Hubby had meatloaf dinner said it was ok but not great. Carrot cake was exceptional!
