We were not seated until 4:45 PM despite having a reservation. We ordered the drunken shrimp and lobster bisque to start. The lobster bisque came out quickly. It was okay. The lobster and/or crab meat did not taste fresh. It may have been imitation meat. But it was okay. The drunken shrimp arrived one minute before our dinner came out. Again, the drunken shrimp were just okay.
My husband’s jambalaya was really good. I ordered the herbal salmon. It was also good, but not the best salmon in Greensboro. The cookie with ice cream was different, but it was okay. I wouldn’t order it again.
Overall, the place was just okay. It wasn’t overly good, but it wasn’t overly bad either. It may depend on what you order. Our bill before tip was $100.29, which wasn’t bad for the food and complementary wine. There wasn’t anything about the restaurant that made me want to go again, but there wasn’t anything about it to make me not go again either.
The only thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t have any more crème brûlée, and I was very disappointed because I was really looking forward to trying it. Since it’s a signature dessert of the restaurant, they should make it in large quantities, especially on busier days.
Greeted by our host, no hospitality there.
The restaurant and “open” kitchen are gorgeous and feels very spacious despite them sitting the only 4 tables in the place directly next to each other. Felt a bit cramped after that.
Our server Alexis was amazing!
I ordered the steak salad, my date had a burger, & shared a bottle of Chardonnay. Pretty plating.
Geared up for my first bite and got the bonus of the longest hair ever twirled in my fork.
The server I flagged down for help (not our server) asked me if I wanted it remade.
That was the extent of any rectification.
Customer service fell WAY short of the caliber of restaurant they present themselves as. No manager table touch, no apologies, nothing.
As a restaurant manager, I’ve gone through greater lengths to correct smaller issues.
I was excited about all they had to offer especially with the wine club, but I’m not sure it’s worth the hour drive.
We got the meatballs, and those were amazing! We often talk about coming back just for those. For the entrees, we got the creamy chicken risotto and lemon chicken pasta. The risotto was okay, and my husband needed to bring the down the flavor of the lemon pasta because it was too strong. Finally for dessert, we had the crème brûlée.
For the wine, we were able to taste a couple varieties and decided on a bottle of moscato. We’re looking to go back, so hopefully the service time is better!
Also whoever was in charge of the music today 10/10, it was a great variety of music and I didnt even realize I was dining alone
I will definitely be back
