We stopped in for lunch right after they opened. It was a good time to get there. The hush puppies were good and we liked the honey ish butter that came with them. The burger was ok, not great or bad just average and I definitely want regular butter for the cornbread. The cornbread was very bland. But the Mac N Cheese skillet was the show stopper!! We will definitely be going back for the skillet and try some different items. The staff was friendly and on top of refills.

The food and service was great! Hannah was our waitress, she was friendly, efficient and made great suggestions. Ordered wings, chicken fingers, brisket and BLT. Sides were generous, fried pickles, Mac and cheese, fries and coleslaw. Will definitely come back if passing through the area.

Stopped here after a visit at UVA. Place has some nice decor. Our waitress was Ariel. She was friendly. My greenbeans were fine but slightly cold. My Mac and cheese was the best part of the meal. My pulled pork. Oh what a disappointment. I ordered the sandwich and didn’t ask for no bun, but I got no bun. I guess that ended up good because the pork was insanely watery, no flavor, and not fresh. I didn’t enjoy their sauce selection. I prefer vinegar based and the sauce was not good but it’s all I had to put on the flavorless meat. My husband ordered two sides and the waitress did not put in his second side. He really enjoyed his burger. He loved that the bun wasn’t greasy, but it wasn’t pink like he asked. The coleslaw samples they sent were good. Reading the other reviews I’d say just don’t get the pork.

Absolutely everything about this place was awesome. Matt was our server and was absolutely awesome, friendly, considerate and great conversation. The food itself was amazing, ordered wings that couldn’t have been better and a bbq sandwich that was amazing. The food came out in 6 minutes (record timing) and was clearly fresh. I got fries as my side and they were seasoned perfectly. The ambience is a 2/5 fancy, very relaxed with a bar and a great view of the mountains outside.

We walked in about an hour before closing thinking we may be rushed in and out but much to our surprise, we were not. We were greeted and seated promptly, Naima (Hope I spelled that correctly) was our server. She was very attentive and helpful when making choices.

We had the stuffed Brisket shells and a brisket platter. The choice of favorites between those 2 would be hands-down, the shells. Both choices were great for sure.

As closing time drew close, staff was cleaning up but never came close to our seating area or made us feel like they were trying to rush us. In fact, we were oblivious to that even going on until we were close to leaving. Every staff member we encountered on the way out, acknowledged us in a friendly manner to say good night and thank you for coming. Thats a really nice touch. It goes a long way to thank customers.

Anyway I totally recommend this establishment and know we will be back soon.

Man I was really hoping for some really good ribs so I went and paid 33 dollars for a rack, half sauce half dry. Don’t know what happened or if the flavor was forgot, either way ended up eating one rib off each side and left the rest. I really thought theyd be good!!! Im a little sad I lost 33 dollars . I will say that the mac and cheese and green beans, the fried catfish, the seafood pretzel, and the bang bang shrimp were really good. I may try again one day tho!!

Went with a friend to hear a band on a Friday night. Atmosphere was perfect as we sat outside. Drink and food were great. I got the mac and cheese skillet with smoked sausage and she got chicken tenders with potato salad. The people we sat with all enjoyed their food as well.

Ashley was great she noticed that the pork skins were tough to eat. She asked before getting us another plate and removed the first plate. Food was quick, meat was tender. Ashley kept are drinks full, especially since I got the Diablo or very hot sauce. But you had other servers there that kept people feeling great. Also the greeter checked on seating and got us seated quickly. I was educated cause I thought the waynesboro restaurant was first. I was wrong it was the one where I live close to in farmville. Great atmosphere

Loved this place. We were passing through and wanted to stop somewhere that was local to the area. It’s a little weird to get to the restaurant, but stick with the GPS (it was right this time). It looks like you’re going to the hotel, but you’re not. It’s across the way/almost next to it. The atmosphere was pleasant, friendly and somewhat spacious. Our server, Ashley, was top notch! She was attentive, informative, friendly, helpful, quick and just plain awesome. We got the sampler and the catfish sandwich. Be prepared to take leftovers home. I still have about 2 days worth of leftovers to go through. The meat was tender and moist. The ribs cleanly fell off the bone. The hush puppies were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Mac and cheese was creamy and very flavorful. The wings were pretty large and were very good: not dry. The jalapeño cornbread was okay but a bit on the dry side, but that’s my only complaint. The catfish sandwich had 3 large pieces of catfish which didn’t even fit on the bread all the way! You definitely get what you pay for.
If you’re in the area, I highly suggest you stop by and grab some food! It’s worth it!

Edit: Ate here again today and tried something new. The Stuffed brisket shells. It is one of the best things I have ever eaten on earth. Little bit of sweet little bit of savory and spice with TONS of perfectly cooked brisket. Also shout out to Matt my server this guy really knows what he is doing he made me feel welcome from the moment I sat down. Matt I’ve never had as good of service as yours! Great job

You can’t go wrong with what you choose here. From there smoked meat plater to a catfish Mac and cheese skillet and some of the best smoked wings I have ever tasted. I’m so glad they decided to open up more stores I’ve been going to fish in pig since there original building. Today I decided to try something new and got the brisket burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was perfectly executed with pink like I requested and packed with flavor. The sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had you can tell they cut them fresh and serve with a side of real cinnamon butter. Hanna my waitress today was very kind and attentive and a pleasure to be around. Thanks for always delivering the best!
