Latin bites food trucks visited us at our apartment complex. Such an amazing treat. Their loaded tostones with pernil was incredible. The pernil was cooked perfectly and beyond tender. Tostones were perfectly done as well. The chicken empanadas were extremely flavorful. I wish we ordered more!! Hoping they come back again!!

I had a desire for a classic Cuban sandwich… So I came here.
The place seemed more like catering or take out. I wouldn’t sit there. I ordered the Cubano for $19. And waited for 20 mins to get my sandwich. I thought good things take time, so that was fine. I get the sandwich and go back to my car. I knew as soon as I opened the sandwich that I was in trouble. Extremely hot! that means microwaved to death sandwich. Dry and incredibly salty pork. Inedible, horrible and just awful. For $19! Threw out the sandwich and promised to spread the word. There is no way the owner of this place would be proud serving this salty dry mess served at 1000 degrees. Either they make changes or this is just another disappointing place to cross off my list. Nope.

So they came out to our Lowes store today (1590) and the experience was nothing but GREAT! The gentleman serving is a sweet, efficient delightful individual to experience. So I had the Pernil Platter ( Roasted Pork Platter). Comes with Arroz with Gandules (Pigeon pea rice) with Maduros (Sweet Plantains). The serving is a big portion. This plate cost me $19.
Thank you for great eats. Thank you for great customer service. Keep feeding America with great Puerto-Rican/Cuban food.

So their food truck was on JBMDL today and was curious of it… it did not disappoint. Had the “ Big Papi” Cubano and that sandwich hit the spot! Tender pork, crunchy bread, melty cheese, this sandwich was one of the best Cubanos I’ve had in a long time. Wish they were closer to my hotel so I could try other things as well. Highly recommend trying if you’re in Jersey. The $18 for it was worth every penny!!!

Very small place.
It only has 2 small tables that can fit 4 skinny customers.
The food looked good but the taste barely had a Puerto Rican taste. Kind of a boring taste also on the pricey end.
Perhaps the cooks are used to prepare burritos or tortas, not using the Puerto Rican condiments or seasoning.
Meh!

Ordered take out. Pernil, black beans, white rice and maduros. I also got a few alcapurrias which were crispy and flavorful. Everything was delicious. I’ll be back.

must be color blind or illiterate because that’s a very green looking pink sauce to me. i’ll just fry my own yuca next time and make my own pink sauce using ketchup and mayo because that was too hard.

Watch yourself, he shorts you on your large orders. I don’t care how big or small your business is; there has to be an element of trust between the business and the customer.

If I place an order with the Latin Food Truck, I shouldn’t have to open the bags and double check to make sure everything was in the bag.

A couple weeks ago I ordered 4 pork pernell platters and 6 beef empanadas. When I arrived at location with the food, we were shorted a pork pernell platter. The truck doesn’t come everyday, and the weather interferes with him being on site. He didn’t recall the transaction so there was no compensation given for the shorted platter.

The other day I ordered 4 beef empanadas and 2 sides of rice and beans. I was given the large bag busting g open with takeout containers. Again, arrival at location resulted in being shorted the additional sides.

I tried contacting the business directly to hopefully resolve the issue and possibly adjusting the pending credit card transaction. Today is day 5, no response received, and the credit card was once again billed for the full amount with no correction for the shortage.

All I can say is “BEWARE”! You have been forwarned this guy is totally untrustworthy. I also read some of the other comments about refunding for bad meals to others, but I have my doubts if it actually took place because they refused to acknowledge the direct “CONTACT US” feature from their own website.
