We were very pleasantly surprised by the lunch we had here considering we stumbled by this place on a road trip. The service was attentive, the portions were generous and the seafood was fresh!

We were on a mini getaway and searched for a nearby seafood spot with good reviews. Saw the hype and decided to give this place a try for dinner. My husband and I both ordered the Seafood Platter with cheese grits, which came with fried catfish, shrimp, oysters, scallops, and stuffed crab.
The pro: The restaurant was clean, and we felt welcomed right away. Our server Brittany was a total sweetheart. She was super attentive, polite, and quick. She’s honestly the reason this review got two stars instead of one.
The con: Unfortunately, the food just didn’t do it for either of us. Everything lacked seasoning. The crab cake and oysters were bland and mushy. Even the tartar sauce had no flavor; which is wild. The catfish was okay, and the scallops and shrimp were passable, but only with cocktail sauce to help them out.
Overall, it just wasn’t for me. I know a lot of folks love this spot, and that’s cool, but we definitely won’t be back.

The servers are incredibly friendly, but the food doesn’t impress me much. There’s not much I can eat here as someone with a gluten intolerance, but the grilled chicken tenders are good! My dad loves the catfish nuggets so maybe if you’re a big fried seafood person you’ll enjoy, but otherwise I literally only come here to make my dad happy

Me and my wife were coming home from the beach and stopped here for lunch. We had eaten seafood for 4 days and decided to have the lunch special instead of seafood. Grilled hamburger steak with onion gravy 2 sides and a roll with the drink included for $11.99-what a deal but there was something special here. This was like a ground steak not just hamburger meat. Some nice chunky pieces gave it a unique texture and the flavor was off the chain. DO NOT PASS BY THIS PLACE AT LUNCH—It’s even worth a detour to enjoy a great meal at a very affordable price.

I walk in at 6:02 pm. They sat us in the far back table. 18 mins later we finally got someone’s attention to come take our order. 1 hour later we had to flag someone else down to check on our food. Then was told they lost our ticket. There was at least 5 waitresses talking and not doing anything. Thank goodness for Walmart with a sub way

Went to eat lunch on Dec 5. I don’t eat there regularly because it’s a little pricey. However I usually get good service and great food. Not this time ! We ordered the 12oz ribeye and shrimp. It took a while to get it, and when I did I understood why. I ordered mine medium rare, it was cooked DONE ! It was a little dry, but a good flavor so I didn’t send it back, because it took a while to get. I did inform the waitress of the problem and she apologized and said that she thought it was taking too long for med rare. Well I was thinking that they might discount our meal because after all, it was $37 for one steak ! Unfortunately no discount was offered. I haven’t decided if I will go back.

I attended the 70yr anniversary today (Jan 17). The line was long but enjoyed the wait with many friendly, fun locals. The wait was absolutely worth it! Delicious food, fun atmosphere & phenomenal waitresses.
