If you are looking for a cool sight too, they usually have crocodiles swimming beneath you 2-3 days of the week in the evening (8-10pm) so keep your eyes peeled.
Highly recommend!
The music selection adds perfectly to the atmosphere. When I visited, soft jazz was playing, creating a very pleasant, elegant, and calm vibe.
The food was truly excellent and very well executed. The menu offers great variety: from a classic chicken milanese with pasta, to a delicious “Aguacate Bambú” stuffed with shrimp, and a beautifully presented salmon dish served with black rice colored with squid ink. Everything we tried was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared.
To top it off, the mezcal cocktails were outstanding and paired perfectly with the food.
The only aspect that could be improved would be the restrooms, which did not quite match the level of the overall experience.
Aside from that small detail, Navios is a fantastic place for a special dinner, combining great food & amazing views.
Highly recommended.
The food was beyond our expectations! The portions are quite big so be careful when you order, you don’t wanna over do it.
We had octopus carpacio and bone with marinated octopus-interesting combination but very tasty! Also we took lobster tacos, amazing really!
The setting alone is worth the visit. The restaurant sits right over the water on a dock, so you’re just above the surface. The ambience is intimate and romantic, and the sunset views are absolutely spectacular. The best time to arrive is right before sunset — we had a small two-person table that was perfect for couples and gave us an incredible view as the sky changed colors.
For appetizers, we ordered the tuna tartar and the Navios ceviche, both fresh and full of flavor. For our entrées, we had the grilled octopus and the garlic seafood — two solid choices that did not disappoint. We finished with the house flan, and wow… the caramel notes were amazing.
Everything we tried was superb, from start to finish. Highly recommend Navios for anyone looking for great food, unbeatable ambience, and an unforgettable dining experience in Cancun.
My first night I had the Thousand Pear Leaves salad, fresh spinach with pears, goat cheese and candied almonds. Really wonderful after a week of not much salad. Followed with the Veracruz-style grouper, which was cooked perfectly, with rice and vegetables. The Pancho Villa cocktail was delicious, tequila with passionfruit puree.
Second meal was also good, started with the pescadillas based on reviews, but I was underwhelmed. Have had much tastier fish tacos/quesadillas on the coast, and for a fraction of the price. Also had the Cava salad, which was pretty heavy on frisée. The coconut shrimp were pretty good, but did not replicate my entree experience from the night before.
It seems as though there are a lot of staff, and they tend to just kind of hang out on the deck, chatting. They are always responsive if you need anything.
Sunsets are beautiful from this location. Alas, I did not see any crocodiles, but my waiter showed me video from the night before…
