Absolutely stunning place to have dinner, especially if you are looking for something off resort. Prices are very reasonable and very comparable to back home in Canada for an upscale restaurant. Portions are a fair size as well. Plenty of options on the menus from local beef cuts to anything seafood. This is the best option on the lagoon side if you are in the southern part of the hotel zone.

If you are looking for a cool sight too, they usually have crocodiles swimming beneath you 2-3 days of the week in the evening (8-10pm) so keep your eyes peeled.

Highly recommend!

First of all, the ambiance is absolutely outstanding. The restaurant is located right on the Cancun lagoon, with beautifully arranged outdoor seating areas that feel private and relaxed, as well as the option to sit indoors if you prefer. From the outside tables, you can watch boats slowly passing by while enjoying a stunning sunset, which really elevates the entire experience.

The music selection adds perfectly to the atmosphere. When I visited, soft jazz was playing, creating a very pleasant, elegant, and calm vibe.

The food was truly excellent and very well executed. The menu offers great variety: from a classic chicken milanese with pasta, to a delicious “Aguacate Bambú” stuffed with shrimp, and a beautifully presented salmon dish served with black rice colored with squid ink. Everything we tried was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared.

To top it off, the mezcal cocktails were outstanding and paired perfectly with the food.

The only aspect that could be improved would be the restrooms, which did not quite match the level of the overall experience.

Aside from that small detail, Navios is a fantastic place for a special dinner, combining great food & amazing views.

Highly recommended.

Fabulous place for sea food fusion and the ambient is just perfect for late lunch/early dinner. Roberto was our waiter and he did fantastic job serving us!
The food was beyond our expectations! The portions are quite big so be careful when you order, you don’t wanna over do it.
We had octopus carpacio and bone with marinated octopus-interesting combination but very tasty! Also we took lobster tacos, amazing really!

Everything was top notch! Ambience is romantic, soothing and scenic with the waterfront and lakeside views. We ordered lime soup, ceviche, fire shrimp and Veracruz fish with cilantro rice. Servers were very friendly, polite and explained all the items in great detail. Pricing is reasonable for a fine dine seafood restaurant. If you’re staying within Hotel Zone, this is a must visit for dinner!

Amazing!!! We walked in and someone was playing Eric Clapton on saxophone! You are literally sitting at a table on the pier with decorative lights. We are not sea food people, so had the chicken and steak. Both were extremely good! A must, but make sure you make reservations.

We had an incredible dining experience at Navios. Our waiter, Braulio, was fantastic — warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our night special. If you visit, do yourself a favor and order the Golden Granada drink… holy cow. The pomegranate flavor is unreal and easily one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.

The setting alone is worth the visit. The restaurant sits right over the water on a dock, so you’re just above the surface. The ambience is intimate and romantic, and the sunset views are absolutely spectacular. The best time to arrive is right before sunset — we had a small two-person table that was perfect for couples and gave us an incredible view as the sky changed colors.

For appetizers, we ordered the tuna tartar and the Navios ceviche, both fresh and full of flavor. For our entrées, we had the grilled octopus and the garlic seafood — two solid choices that did not disappoint. We finished with the house flan, and wow… the caramel notes were amazing.

Everything we tried was superb, from start to finish. Highly recommend Navios for anyone looking for great food, unbeatable ambience, and an unforgettable dining experience in Cancun.

I was looking for a spot to chill before a flight after dropping a friend off at the airport for an earlier flight. This spot delivered! Great ambiance on the water, very hospitable staff, and delicious food/drinks. Only knock was the American music. Would definitely recommend for an easy spot to relax before a flight.

Celebrated my 40th birthday here and they brought out fabulous dessert and song. The live jazz was a nice touch. Good was great. Beware of the crocodiles lol we saw a pelican and a huge iguana. Views are stunning at sunset.

I ate at this restaurant my first night on the strip, and wound up going back for my subsequent dinner. Food is mostly delicious, the location is wonderful, and the staff are attentive.

My first night I had the Thousand Pear Leaves salad, fresh spinach with pears, goat cheese and candied almonds. Really wonderful after a week of not much salad. Followed with the Veracruz-style grouper, which was cooked perfectly, with rice and vegetables. The Pancho Villa cocktail was delicious, tequila with passionfruit puree.

Second meal was also good, started with the pescadillas based on reviews, but I was underwhelmed. Have had much tastier fish tacos/quesadillas on the coast, and for a fraction of the price. Also had the Cava salad, which was pretty heavy on frisée. The coconut shrimp were pretty good, but did not replicate my entree experience from the night before.

It seems as though there are a lot of staff, and they tend to just kind of hang out on the deck, chatting. They are always responsive if you need anything.

Sunsets are beautiful from this location. Alas, I did not see any crocodiles, but my waiter showed me video from the night before…

Best meal we had in Cancun! I am gluten-free and dairy-free, and was able to enjoy a truly delicious meal with the Pulpo in Adobo. I was the only one with food allergies in our group, and the staff was very attentive to make sure I had a safe and delicious meal. The Marlin Tostada was excellent! A friend got the catch of the day, and staff helped her debone the fish part way thru the meal. Truly magical atmosphere on the lagoon – staff showed us an alligator who had swam up under the dock during the meal.
