Reviews
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience at this Chipotle location in Waynesboro.
The Food Quality Was Unacceptable
We initially ordered through Uber Eats/Instacart but went to the store in person. When I opened my order, it looked like a soggy, slimy mess – just wet meat and salad with no structure or appeal whatsoever. The rice was undercooked, the sour cream had a watery, liquid consistency, and the presentation was completely unappetizing. When I politely asked if something could be done about it, I was simply told “that’s what it looks like.” No offer to remake it, no apology, nothing.
The Cleanliness Was Alarming
What truly shocked me was the state of the restaurant. I’m including photos because it’s hard to believe otherwise:
Every single table had food debris on it
Food covering the floors throughout the dining area
The condiment station was filthy with food scattered everywhere
Even the food preparation area behind the counter had visible food waste
There was not one clean surface available to sit and eat
As a parent with two small children, I felt genuinely uncomfortable eating there given the unsanitary conditions.
The Service Was Lacking
Not a single staff member smiled or showed any friendliness during our entire visit. While I understand everyone has difficult days, when you’re serving food to families, a basic level of customer service is expected. When I mentioned my concerns about the cleanliness and food quality, I was told they were short-staffed by two people. While I sympathize with staffing challenges, that doesn’t excuse the condition of the restaurant or the poor food quality. We were there for about 40 minutes and not one person came out and cleaned anything the entire duration no matter how dirty that place was. I did see the women congregating and chatting, but I did not see anybody cleaning.
Final Thoughts
We came in at 3 PM after traveling all day with two hungry children, and left feeling like we wasted our money. I wish we had simply walked out instead of paying. I tried to be polite and diplomatic when raising my concerns, but the dismissive response and lack of care was disappointing.
I hope management takes these concerns seriously and addresses the cleanliness and quality issues. Until then, I cannot recommend this location and will not be returning.
Also, because I ordered through Uber/Instacart chipotle didn’t even bother asking me what restaurant this was when I called up to try to resolve it through them because they said they weren’t able to handle it. And because I ordered through Uber/Instacart Uber told me they couldn’t handle it because the payment had already come out and they don’t deal with in-house restaurant issues .
Super disappointing I’m now going to have to contact my credit card
I normally don’t leave reviews, but this experience was beyond frustrating. I went in and ordered two sofritas tacos, a kid’s steak quesadilla, and a chicken bowl. The gentleman making my food had the ladles for each ingredient touching every single bowl in front of me — clear cross-contamination happening with everyone’s food.
The sofritas tacos were completely overstuffed and wrapped so poorly that they looked like one big, soggy mess in the foil. When I asked fo fajita veggies (it was only 6:30 p.m., and they close at 10), I was told they were out and that they weren’t making any more — which makes no sense for dinner rush hours.
The kid’s quesadilla was supposed to be steak and cheese, but there was no cheese at all — just meat. My chicken bowl had burnt chicken pieces throughout; every bite was charred.
To top it off, the staff was rude, and the restaurant wasn’t even that clean. I can usually let small issues slide, but this was ridiculous from start to finish. Definitely one of the worst Chipotle experiences I’ve had. 0/10 I will never return to this location. A WASTE of $40!
I do want to add that my family of three, one man waiting for veggies, and a man paying were the only customers so it wasn’t very busy at all. I probably would have walked out when I first went in, but my teenage daughter really had her heart set on eating there.
BAMA TRUCKER – ROLL TIDE
People are rude not friendly both times I visited the food bins were empty where they had to scrape from the bottom of the bins. I don’t know who manages this establishment but it’s a shame that at 12:15 pm empty food bins cold food you have to take home and reheat. Hey but they don’t mind charging you $14 or more for a cold dried out burrito mess. People save your money and get a real burrito a an authentic Mexican grill.
IM DONE WITH THIS DRIED OUT WASTE OF MONEY PLACE! If zero was an option that’s my rating.
This my first time coming to the reviews and it makes total sense , I’m not the only one !
