Indian cuisine has long been one of my reference points, shaped by meals in India and at established Indian restaurants in major U.S. cities. With that context, Himalayan Flavor stands as a solid option in Idaho Falls, particularly given the area’s limited culinary diversity.

This was my second visit, and consistency is a strength. The flavors are balanced and approachable, though clearly restrained—not only in depth, but also in heat. Even dishes marked spicy are calibrated toward local palates rather than delivering traditional intensity. That restraint feels intentional and likely explains the restaurant’s popularity.

The Malai Kofta (spicy) was the highlight, with crisp potato-paneer dumplings in a smooth, mild sauce. Garlic naan was fresh and well executed. The Gobi Manchurian was enjoyable but leaned mild, lacking the layered spice complexity and heat that define the dish at a higher level. Vegetable samosas were fresh and well made, though the pastry was noticeably thick relative to the filling, throwing off the balance. Service was professional, and well paced.

Well run and reliable, but for experienced Indian-food diners, it lands just above average rather than truly memorable.

Very authentic Indian cuisine. The chicken Vindaloo was amazing. The spice level was exactly what we asked for. The flavor was excellent. The aloo naan was super tasty along with the garlic naan. We order dal tadka and it was also flavorful. The texture on it was amazing. I also order vegetable samosas and they were wonderful. They served them with a mint and tamarind chutney. This made me really happy since I had chutney left over for my naan. The dessert was delicious and really brought me back to my childhood. Overall I was very pleased and would come back 1000 times again.

Really great flavors. Everything we had tasted great—robust, juicy meat, rich sauces. Their naan was light and crispy. Our servers were kind and attentive without intruding on our conversation. Can’t wait to go back.

Wow, what a gem! First time in Idaho Falls and needed a really good lunch. Mango curry with lamb-heat level 3- and veggie pakora were SO good.

I’m wheat and dairy free and the menu was very clear on what I could and couldn’t eat as well.

Great, friendly service! They are passionate about their food ❤️

Pic afterwards because it was so good I didn’t get a pic before!

Excellent, top notch authentic Indian food. Spice scale of 1-10. I took a 7 and would consider it medium spice. Everyone loved their food. Service is a little slow, but they let you know on a sign up front to be patient. It’s worth the wait. I’ll go back.

The food was so good I forgot to take a picture before we’d eaten half of it! The curries came with rice and had spice levels 1-10. The naan was incredible, but one of the best things was the service. The staff was so friendly and anticipated needs (filling waters, getting to-go boxes) before we even had to ask. We will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely delicious food!! The best Nepalese-Indian food I’ve ever had. We will definitely be coming back!

We ordered Coconut Korma with lamb at a level 4- very creamy, flavorful, and delightful. Also, the Jalfrezi with goat at a level 6- very nice, complementary flavors with some heat, but not overpowering.

Optional heat levels for each dish. The meat choices were so tender and good. Aloo Cheese Naan (has potato in it) was very tasty and delicious.

Ate here for lunch and the food was delicious! Portions were big and food came out quick and hot. Our server Mysha was very pleasant and helpful when answering our questions. I wish we lived in Idaho Falls so we could visit more often!

My husband and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday not knowing what to expect. Never been in and having never had Indian food. The restaurant is nice and comfortable. As a fat lady I appreciate the comfortable seats. The menu was easy to understand and our waiter was great. The atmosphere was great and the art work is lovely. Our food was so good, I’m not a huge fan of spicy I likes spices but can be sensitive to heat and the food was awesome. My husband found a new favorite meal. As we were packing up to leave with plenty of left overs we noticed a young lady cleaning a table. And she cleaned that table, it was cleared then sprayed down and the chairs were cleaned and sprayed down with a different towel. Was so impressed with the cleanliness. We will definitely be going back.

Came in for dine in during lunch hours.
Ordered garlic naan, paneer kadai and daal tadka. Rice was complimentary I believe.
Food was good and mil as per our preference.
Garlic naan were served cold but when we informed the waiter, they made it again which was nice.
