Koywan Buffet is truly a hidden gem in Orlando if you’re looking for great food, variety, and an all-you-can-eat experience that leaves you more than satisfied. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a wide selection of options — everything from classic American comfort food like fried chicken and fries, to Chinese specialties, fresh hibachi, and more. It’s one of those buffets where everyone can find something they’ll enjoy.
For me though, the highlight is the fried crab. I’ve been to plenty of buffets, and it’s rare to find a spot that serves fried crab the way Koywan does. It’s hot, crispy, and seasoned just right — honestly worth the trip alone. I find myself going back mainly for that because you just can’t find fried crab like this anywhere else around here.
On top of that, the food stays consistently fresh. They keep the trays stocked and hot, so you never feel like you’re getting the “last of the pan” like some buffets. The hibachi area is also a nice touch — fresh ingredients cooked right in front of you, made to your liking.
The service is friendly, the atmosphere is clean and comfortable, and for the price you’re paying, you’re really getting your money’s worth. It’s the perfect place whether you’re coming with family, a group of friends, or even just to treat yourself.
Overall, I’d give Koywan Buffet a 10/10. Between the huge variety, the all-you-can-eat setup, and the unbeatable fried crab, this is definitely a go-to buffet spot in Orlando. Highly recommend

Our dining experience was quite enjoyable. The gentleman who prepared the hibachi dishes showcased impressive skills, and the sushi was tasty. While the other traditional dishes were satisfactory, the highlights were definitely the hibachi and sushi. Ingrid, the hostess/manager, provided excellent service by promptly seating us and offering assistance whenever needed—an impressive touch that enhances customer care. However, the cleanliness of the bathrooms could use some improvement. Overall, it was a solid outing.

Okay, enough is enough. This was a Friday night, not even near to closing. And something MUST be done about the steam table to the left of the soup. My kid is sittting on the toilet puking into a trash can after complaining about the food being cold. I checked. It was. This is the SECOND time I raised a flag about the cold food, but this time I’ve got to bring a kid to urgent care.
I also had to go to staff and say “hey, we are paying full price here- can you please fill the sushi bar, and the hot food.” Their answer: “if you tell us what you want we’ll make it”. It was 7 on Friday. I said “I don’t know what to tell you to make. I’m at a buffet for a reason.” Photos of the sushi bar they wanted me to tell them what to make for customers below.

I cannot stress enough, how dangerously filthy and disgusting this restaurant is, it’s bad enough to put Carpet in a restaurant, but then to not clean it or replace it and allow it to stay there for so many years that the ceramic and concrete are actually worn out is beyond belief. These idiots simply do not care.
If you can get past the poor upkeep and make your way to the food, I believe you will find it as equally as disgusting. I figured we were there so I might as well eat something I got green beans, mussels, pepper, chicken, and dumplings. Every single thing was cold and when I complain to the waitress, she agreed that some people like their food hot and if I wanted her to, she would take my plate and microwave it for me, how generous.
I stopped my nine-year-old for meeting my wife quit eating what little food she had started, and we went to leave. I told the lady at checkout that I did not eat any food and would not pay for mine sure, she proceeded to charge me for two adults When I asked why she asked how old my nine-year-old was, it’s bad enough paying $12 for a boy that ate two spoonfuls of rice noodles but I darn sure wasn’t gonna pay 20. I no longer live in Orlando however I’ve been going to this restaurant for Close to 20 years when it first opened up and it’s really sad to see how disgusting it is now in comparison to what a great place it used to be. I can only hope that everybody stops going so they close down, allowing perhaps a proper restaurant to come in its place

Good Chinese buffet; it’s. It a 5 star Michelin restaurant so don’t expect that. But food is consistently good and the same each time I go. I usually eat the regular buffet but I will be trying the sushi this week.

The food at this place is good, but for an Asian buffet, the absence of the famous boneless spare ribs is a letdown…that’s already a loss of points. The service is decent, but they need to pay more attention to the food trays, as some were nearly empty.
Now, the biggest issue: cleanliness. When we arrived, they gave us a table, but the chair I was about to sit on was covered in rice. At the ice cream station, the cups for serving had napkins nearby to dry them, but those napkins had black specks of mold—definitely not acceptable.
On the positive side, the pricing is reasonable, the variety of food is decent, and the sushi was good. However, they seriously need to step up their cleaning standards!

Went here for lunch and found the food to be very fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is good. It’s a nice place to meet up with others for lunch as I enjoyed my visit with my daughter and granddaughter. The Hibachi Grill has a lot of selections.

This place is on it’s last leg. If you feel like wasting your money, this place is it. Recently dined here over the weekend for lunch. The restaurant is in bad shape. Handwritten notes taped all over the front door. Initially thought they were closed when we walked up. Dimly lit thru out.
Food selection was mediocre and tasted old, dry like it was reheated/recooked. Sushi selection was subpar. Mostly rolls filled with cream cheese topped with large amounts of mayo mix sauce. The hibachi meats that were offered didnt look great either. Some of the hibachi red meat was gray in color.
The interior is worn and dirty. Floors were sticky no matter where you walked.
Positive note..staff was friendly and attentive.
Definitely skip this establishment.

What was supposed to be hot food was cold, ginger for the sushi was dry and looked old. The mussels with cheese didn’t look fresh. My husband and myself had diarrhea after eating here. Used to be good, don’t know what happened. So sad but I would not recommend and I will definitely not be returning.
