We came in to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. Chelsea was our server. She was AMAZING!!!! It was a big milestone birthday and we are so thankful for how they treated us. The food was perfect and the service was exceptional. Shoutout to bartender Kevin for making the perfect margarita for me. Thank you for making our night so memorable.

I go to Bjs in Arizona and usually have great service and great food. The sirloin in Az is great so I ordered it here and it looked horrific. I asked the server if this was really a sirloin and she said yes and offered to bring me a different piece. This is the second piece of steak I received and was also horrible. The broccoli was covered in black spots so I didn’t eat it either. Service was slow even though it was an empty restaurant at 9pm on a Sunday. Nothing was comped and no manager came to check on us.

I went and ordered a Dubai chocolate pazooki to go and it didn’t even come with Dubai only chocolate pazooki and it wasn’t what I payed for . Same for the strawberry shortcake it didn’t even come with strawberry’s . Also the Pazooki, was very dry but since my kids were hungry they ate it . Then service was slow we had to get other waiters attention to get stuff . But other then that everything was fine then that.

We visited after arriving in carlsbad and had a mixed experience.
The good: seating was quick, and the staff were all so kind and welcoming. They absolutely loved my service dog once they noticed him, which was sweet. The Hard Root Beer and the classic Pizookie were hands down the highlight of the meal those alone were worth it.
The not-so-good: service was slow after being seated. When I first ordered a plain burger patty (for my dog), the server didn’t understand until I pointed under the table. Once he realized, he got it right: no bun, veggies, or seasoning and my dog enjoyed it.
As for our food:
Nashville Hot Boneless Chicken – unfortunately dry and overly salty.
Chicken Katsuya Sandwich – decent, but not worth the price. The fries that came with it were overcooked.
Burger Patty for the pup – he happily ate it!
For a bill of $89 and change, it felt disappointing that the drinks and dessert were the highlight rather than the meals themselves.
The staff’s friendliness definitely stood out, but overall the food didn’t live up to expectations for the price.

What really set our dinner apart was our server Muriel. She was amazingly helpful and friendly to us.

BJs is always a good spot for large groups looking for a restaurant, but this locations in Carlsbad went above and beyond. Our server Maddie E. was extremely pleasant, helpful, and available for requests and refills. Her help took an otherwise good BJs lunch with friends and make it exceptional. I will definitely be returning and with any luck with get Maddie E. as a server again.

We had an excellent experience at BJ’s thanks to our server Greg! He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Our drinks were always refilled on time, the food came out exactly as ordered, and he checked in just the right amount. His positive attitude really made our visit enjoyable. Great service like this is why we’ll definitely be coming back! New favorite BJs!

I came to this location late after a full evening and I am never disappointed with the food, service or cleanliness of the restaurant. I had the tomato and mozzarella salad, the cherry glazed salmon and hot tea. Everything was delicious and the portions were just right. Our server Mattie was pleasant, professional and prompt. I will definitely be returning.
