The customer service and atmosphere are average, nothing really impressive there. However, the reason I’m not giving them 5 out of 5 is because of two things. The first is how obviously overpriced this restaurant is. $125 USD for three pub-style meals is a lot. The food was excellent but at the end of the day we just ordered and couple of burgers and chicken tenders. As for the second reason, it’s the extra charge they impose for refills on “fountain” soft-drinks which is usually free. They also don’t offer tap water, so you must buy bottled water instead. These tactics make the experience negative, as if you’re there just to give them money, instead of enjoying a nice meal and wanting to come back again.
Overall, the experience was mixed and unfortunately, significantly overpriced. Our total bill, including the tip, came to nearly $200 for lunch, which is excessive for what we received.
Food Details:
– The Big Chopper Sandwich: This was the highlight of the meal and absolutely magnificent. It was extremely well-balanced, the meat was juicy, and it was a “flavor bomb.” The portions were very nice.
– The Original Ringer Burger: This burger was juicy and well-balanced. However, both this and the Mac and Cheeseburger contained an overwhelming amount of lettuce, which made them unattractive and unappealing. Had there been less lettuce, the Original Ringer would have been a fantastic burger.
– Bacon Mac and Cheeseburger: This simply did not work. The mac and cheese was flat, dry, and not cheesy enough. The excessive lettuce compounded the problem, making the entire dish a mess.
– Beers: The Bohemian beer was fantastic—very smooth—and I highly recommend it. The Dos Equis and the Modelo drafts were also very good, cool, and crisp.
Summary of Concern:
My main concern is the poor ratio of vegetables to meat on the burgers, specifically the excessive amount of lettuce. This detracted significantly from the quality of the dish, especially given the high price point (burgers were around $30 each, and the sandwich was $33–$34).
Service and Location:
The service was very good, and our servers were excellent. The location itself is fantastic.
I hope this feedback is helpful. I would only recommend a visit if the issues with the burger portions and vegetable-to-meat ratio are addressed.
Best regards,
Emilio Díaz
We shared a tableside guacamole and the smokehouse burger. Juan is truly an expert at creating the perfect guacamole—the flavors and textures were outstanding. The smokehouse burger features pulled pork piled onto a juicy hamburger patty, topped with onion rings and a chicharrón, making it rich and satisfying.
The fried potatoes were perfectly cooked, and the blue cheese dipping sauce was a great addition. Altogether, it was a wonderful meal. They also make excellent iced tea and lemonade.
Do here I go again this time I had wings, i’m a wing guy. I make my own, and they truly do brine them. Here they’re big, juicy, tender, and perfectly lightly fried and I love the Wasabi blue cheese.
My favorite thing on the menu are the hamburgers. They’re so good, cooked perfect and so filling making you ready to go for your flight home.
Ive seen where others gave this place a ding for slow service. Well, respectfully, restaurant service is slow, they cook everything to order. So get over it or sit at the bar services are much faster.
Also, I’ve seen people talking about the high prices, again, you’re in an airport, everything’s ridiculously priced across the planet. It’s not just a Mexican thing or Guy Fury’s restaurant and I’m not defending it. I’m just common sense here. You’re gonna pay out the nose for anything in an airport.
I love this place. I will continue to come here. Great big smiles. Great service, love it.
Guy Fieri is a national hero. He lives up in Santa Rosa in California, but we are eating in the Cancun airport to Guy Fieri restaurant. In my opinion. The highlight of one of the highlights was the food when we first arrived we sat down and looked at the menu and saw that there was a guacamole on the menu. We hadn’t eaten yet today because we had to check out of our hotel and rushed to the airport so we were relieved to see that there were breakfast to Jason options on the menu upon ordering the guacamole we were treated to a tableside show what are you doing so next up we had to go to the restroom and there isn’t a restroom in the restaurant so we went outside and it took 20 minutes to get into the restroom but that’s not the fault of the restaurant that’s Cancun airport when I came back when I came back, I was happy to report that the food had arrived. I ordered a chicken sandwich and also tortilla soup and the tortilla soup was just OK, but it was yummy with the avocado dip into it. I’m an avocado man apparently with the guacamole as well ha ha ha ha ha ha seriously the chicken sandwich really hit the spot because we hadn’t had breakfast yet. We’re really hungry what we were eating we were discussing the pros and cons of Guy Fieri and I say there are no cons the manners in national hero. He even lives in Santa Rosa California. Did I mention that already any advocates for soft power for food? There is a lot of memorabilia around the restaurant which made me feel like I’ve arrived at home before I even left Mexico wow thanks guy. Thanks guy. You’re a good guy.
We felt that all options in the airport were very expensive, and Guy Fieri’s was no exception.
That being said, at least we were seated and waited on by a very pleasant waitress.
The food was really tasty, without being exceptional, and the restaurant was a nice place to spend some time. My wife did like the access to an outside smoking terrace.
