I was really lucky. I was grabbing a hamburger lunch and ran into this place and saw their menu. Took my wife here and we had a most fantastic Korean lunch. Authenticity was off the charts and portions were terrific Great service by our server also The ambience is outstanding because it is on the second floor and you are overlooking street. My favorite are the Short Ribs Galbi, Cold Spicy noodles and corn cheese! Wow!

We had a girls’ night out here back in December, and the experience was absolutely fantastic.
TJ was our server and truly made the night with exceptional service – he was super attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was delicious. We ordered the Ultra Galbi & Sogogi set and everything was incredibly flavorful, high quality, and perfectly cooked.
From the service to the food, this place exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend Gopchang Story Korean BBQ and we’ll definitely be back!

The decor is simple yet incredibly cozy. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the building—just go through the door on the right side outside the first-floor restaurant, and you can take either the elevator or the stairs. The whole place is spotless, well-organized, and beautifully modern in color and style. It’s perfect for family gatherings, friends, or couples. There’s plenty of seating, and if you enjoy a view, you can choose a spot by the window.
The ventilation is excellent—no smoke or greasy smell at all during the BBQ! Their grill setup is completely different from anywhere else I’ve been. Instead of the usual bulky BBQ pan, they use a sleek, flat, heat-resistant surface that saves space and lets you comfortably fit plenty of dishes on the table. I absolutely love this design!
We ordered the $64.99 Everyday Special Set, which was perfect for the three of us. It allowed us to try a wide variety of sausages, cold noodles, and fried rice—everything was delicious and plentiful.
What made the experience even better was the lady who I believe is the owner. She was so kind and attentive—helping us grill and cut the sausages perfectly. Everything she cooked turned out so tasty, and the bite-size pieces made it easy to enjoy. Her service was truly exceptional!
We couldn’t finish everything because the portions were generous, but I can confidently say this is a place worth coming back to again and again. There are so many great dishes to try—you’ll never get tired of it!

I lived in South Korea for over a decade and, since moving back to the USA, have really missed gopchang.
This place has a lovely menu, great service, and an authentic atmosphere.

For the price, the portion is reasonable but the food is incredibly oily. Side dishes are super small so they’re always constantly taking away the side dishes away while eating. I’ve been to many places for gopchang and I understand that it is naturally oily, but the grease is unfathomable, to the point you don’t want to eat it. The stew is 100% better and is so good! The corn cheese was flavorless.. first time leaving a corn cheese empty.

The restaurant was very quiet when I went in this afternoon. There was one other person there when I got there. The servers sat me quickly and it took me a moment to figure out what I wanted from the menu. They didn’t ask me if I wanted just plain cold noodles or spicy noodles, so I had to go and tell them of what preference of what I wanted. She also seemed confused when I asked if they had “soda” like the question threw her off.
The bulgogi was a little dry, but overall had good flavor. I may come back to try their other soup or even their kbbq with some friends.

Gopchang story is a very unique experience! If you like to try a different cut of meet and don’t mind the intestines as an option for food, this is the spot for you! The food was really high quality. I loved how much passion you could see the staff had in how things were presented and the quality of the food. The staff was really busy so it was is a bit different from other places I have tried in the past. If you want gopchang this the spot to come to!
