Huge portions, excellent service, locally owned. Had samples of the water ice (water & fruit, like Italian ice) and it was delicious and fresh. And dairy free if you’re looking for a vegan frozen treat. No pork is served here, but the owner makes his own slab turkey bacon, which is nothing like the turkey bacon you find in stores. Very kind and hospitable service—positive atmosphere. Treated like family.

Wow, wow, wow! We were going to another place but it was closed so we then looked at Google maps and found 215… and we are so glad we did!!! Made the mistake of eating Philly cheese steak before taking a photo but holy smokes, you have to get it when you come! The ice water is also out of this world delicious! Do yourself a favor and come in to meet Eric the owner and his family and the staff. Best service and outstanding food!

What a great establishment we have here in New Britain! So glad we stopped in today and met the owner of the Taste of the 215. Really nice guy who spoke with us and told us that soon there will be game tables outside for checkers, chess and dominos. The water ice was fantastic! It was so fresh and made with alkaline water. No sugary syrup! The passion fruit, peach mango, guava and pineapple were my favorites! You can mix flavors and I must go back to try them all! My hubby loved the Philly Cheesesteak! It was huge and I did take a couple of bites, it was so good and fresh!! Please stop by and support this new business in New Britain soon!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on Saturday after visiting the New Britain Museum of American Art (NBMAA)—a fantastic museum, by the way! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like old friends, setting a warm and welcoming tone for our visit.
The highlight of our meal was one of the tastiest (and biggest!) chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. We also treated ourselves to the water ice (similar to Italian ice), which was absolutely delightful. With so many fresh and delicious flavors to choose from, it was hard to pick a favorite, but the passion fruit and coconut stood out as exceptional. The owner generously let us sample several flavors, and honestly, they were all fantastic!
We couldn’t resist taking home a waffle for later, and it didn’t disappoint. Unlike the traditional thin waffles, this one was thicker, packed with flavor, and very satisfying.
While the space has a cozy and comfortable vibe, seating is limited, with just a few stools and a counter. It’s primarily a take-out spot, but the food quality more than makes up for the lack of seating.
What really stood out to us was the owner’s dedication to providing high-quality food and ensuring every customer leaves happy. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions.
If you’re in the area, this place is a gem. We’ll definitely be back!

This was my first visit and it was a wonderful and welcoming place to be! I tasted a number of items and the water ice was delicious, the chili was robust and flavorful, the turkey bacon would be amazing on a sandwich and the cheese steak was delicious and so much food! Can’t wait to go back!

I got a steak and cheese, which was amazing. It was stacked full of meat and Sautéed peppers and onions. The flavors was everything I expected it and wanted it to be. I definitely enjoyed it. Thank you. I’ll be back again.
