We sat open seating in the bar at a booth so no wait at all
Josh was our waiter and he gave me exactly the most wonderful dining experience I could ask for. I’m a waitress myself have been for 6 years so my standards that I hold my dining experience to is pretty high. The food was all excellent best steak I’ve had at all in Abilene at a Mexican food cuisine
We will definitely be coming back
The issue was the food. I ordered the pick-2 fajitas, and the amount of chicken that came with them was an absolute joke.
$24 and I get just a few strips of chicken that fits on one of the small tortillas, and that’s all. One mini chicken fajita..
There was a bit more shrimp, and was able to stretch it for the next 2 small tortillas. The shrimp had great taste, so I enjoyed that.
The rice was good, and plenty for the 3 fajitas, but the black beans came in a small tiny cup and had absolutely no taste.
Comparing this to the “other” Mexican place that’s known for their sizzling fajitas, I was really disappointed in what I got here.
Their trio of 3 meat choice is the same price as this 2 meat, but even with their 2 meat choice you get way more chicken, 4 tortillas, and an actual bowl of black beans instead of a little min-cup. (which actually have a flavor).
The experience itself wasn’t bad, but after spending $30 and leaving hungry, it definitely wasn’t worth it, so I’ll have to stick with the other place when I want fajitas.
