Preston’s Burgers just opened at the Grand, so I definitely wanted to see how their 2nd kitchen would perform. Of the items, the double-patty mushroom Swiss burger (lemon thyme mayo, red onion, iceberg lettuce, pickle, $11.50) was my choice and it fulfilled all the expectations I loved in burgers — superb quantity of Ohio beef, tantalizing Swiss, and grilled mushrooms. It opened the taste buds marvelously.
Pairing this burger was a necessity. Due to the diverse brews available at the Little Grand bar, many people want to pair the beef and juiciness with an American pale ale or an IPA (YSB Boat Show or Rockmill Bronte). However, washing the ample juicy beef down required a robust beer, so I went with the Jackie O’s Chomolunga ($8, brown ale). The crisp, nutty flavor was an excellent mating for the burger.

The gluten free chicken nuggets were divine! They were the perfect amount of crispy and the honey and seasoning really tied it together. It was a beautiful place & they don’t up charge you for an allergy. Will be visiting again!
