So I’ve been wanting to try Canes for a while now, but was always skeptical, because I’m not a huge fan of plain tenders… I prefer them spicy or sauced. But recently, I’ve been seeing post across IG and TikTok so I figured enough with putting it off… let’s just go for it. First, there’s no direct street or curbside parking, but luckily Cane’s validates if you park in the garage. Good luck with locating it the first time… called the store and the employee who answered was no help with directions from the store to the right garage. I ended up parking in the wrong garage (across from Whole Foods), but asked a bystander and they pointed me in the direction of the actual garage. So now that the parking was out the way, quick walk to the store from the garage. Once you enter, they have 2 kiosk that you can order from for quick service or you can order at one of the 2 or 3 cash registers for assisted ordering. I ordered at the kiosk and the process was very straightforward. They have a machine that you scan your parking ticket to validate and that worked fine. Got my order and made my way home to eat. Store was relatively clean, but there was a bit of receipts, straw wrappers, and napkins on the floor in various areas. I ordered a half-n-half so they only give you a half cup of lemonade and the sweet tea is self service. Now let’s get into the food review. I thought that the chicken tenders were very mid and lacked flavor. The fries were unseasoned and basic fries that you can find in your local Walmart freezer. I was completely disappointed in the toast because they did not hold up to my expectations. It was just basic bread and lacked any taste to be honest. They would have been better using Texas Toast from the grocery freezer. I’ll be honest, the sauce is what really made the meal edible. They are small ounce cups so you run through them very quickly so make sure you grab 2 or 3 additional if you end up trying them. One of the best sauces that I’ve had from a chicken joint. Couldn’t quite put my finger on what was in it, but it was definitely better than it’s competition. The coleslaw wasn’t bad. All in all, Raising Cane’s did not live up to the hype in my opinion. I will not be returning. I know there are better chicken places in the area. Follow more reviews @IG: Robthefoodguy @eat_n_critique

The bread and fries were honestly the best part warm, crispy, and really good. The sauce was a little overrated for me and not as amazing as I expected. The chicken was okay but a bit dry. Overall, it’s decent if you’re craving fries and toast, but it didn’t fully live up to the hype.

First, parking is horrible in this part of town… first time at Canes. Chicken fingers are great.. I dont understand all the rave about the sauce… it was good, maybe I was expecting too much. The fries were OK. They were warm at best. Decor was nice being near the college. The staff was awesome. Very nice ans helpfull. Dart took our order, Great Guy!

What is this disgusting hair on my food?

I ordered Uber Eats and this is what I got. Your employees don’t wear hair covers? Do they just send it out with hair all the time or what? This is disgusting and very disrespectful.

What’s the point of having the phone number on here if it doesn’t work? Fix your line.

No Zaxby’s? No problem. We got Cane’s.

It might just be another chicken spot, but the Cane’s sauce makes all the difference. It’s in a real good location in the downtown Towson area, and they validate parking for the nearby underground garage.

The folks that work here are nice enough, if not overworked. They look really busy and might be in a rush to get you on your way, but they’re not rude about it.

The crowd here varies. Lots of college-aged kids, rowdy crowd or not is a hit or miss. It gets loud and the tables could be wiped down a little more often, but they keep up with the demand.

We’ll come back here time to time.

Overall: ★★★★☆

I am not going to drag all Raising Cane’s and maybe this was a bad night. The service was horrible, the food was trash and the restaurant was dirty. I asked the manager for a rag to clean the drink area. It was dirty, sticky and appeared to have not been wiped down for some time. The manager looked like it was a strange request and maybe it was ! But I couldn’t sit down the cup holder and a customer ended up helping me. Sad really and thank you young lady. I won’t be returning! I hope you guys have a better experience than I did.

Well, it is a chicken place. I don’t know about all the hype. I was pretty excited to finally get there and try Cane’s, and was underwhelmed. Seriously, there is nothing wrong with the food, but the hype is over the top. I thought the counter person that took my order was friendly and fast. The prices were ok, if not a little higher than I expected. The food was ready pretty quickly and called out to us in the lunch time chaos. The dining room is fun and funky with a lot of TU touches. It also seems a little bit dingy around the edges.
We ordered a 3 piece for my kiddo and The Box (4 pc) for me. Both had the tenders, sauce, fries and toast, while my 4 pc also had a tiny coleslaw. I loved the toast, and I thought the fries were pretty good. The coleslaw was nice, too. The tenders and the sauce were the downfall for me, they just were not that amazing. They certainly dont stand out much from other restaurants. Honestly, Popeyes is still the best. And, wow, I really question why people are so nutso for that sauce. I found it just ok.
Would I eat there again? Sure, if I was in the area and hungry… But, I wouldn’t go out of my way again.

Updating my review with a video from a Canes location in Conroe, TX….this is what a combo should look like!

This isn’t the same as I remember in Texas and Louisiana. Prices have gone up, portions have been reduced, yet the boxes have gotten bigger I assume to appear as a value. The chicken fingers used to be longer than the toast. Now they struggle to get to the same length. $14 for a box combo today with a large sweet tea and an extra sauce. Even the sweet tea wasn’t made right. Just overloaded with sugar. The best part was the sauce and that’s disappointing. I know property and taxes are expensive in this area, but if you have to cut corners and skimp on your product, maybe this isn’t the place for you.

We were curious about all the hype and popped in.

Definitely a fast food meal. Yummy and very unhealthy.

The kids very much enjoyed their boxes. One said when they opened their box they saw a golden shine.

We tried everything but the slaw. The Texas toast was perfectly golden. The chicken and fries were tasty and very salty. But again, you know what you are getting when going to a fast food restaurant.

We enjoyed the one time experience and are unlikely to come again but only because we do not eat fast food very often. If you do eat fast food, I recommend Cane’s.

Oh….the Cane’s sauce is worth the hype!

This was my first time at Raising Cane’s, I definitely wanted to see what all the hype was about. I will start this off by saying the chicken tenders and bread were really good but everything else was nothing to write home about. The coleslaw is too sweet but did have a nice crunch to it. If I wanted crinkle cut fries I could’ve got a frozen bag from the grocery store. And probably the most controversial portion of this review, the Raising Cane’s sauce is nothing special (just very bland in my opinion). I wish I knew if they offered other sauce options because I probably would’ve enjoyed my meal much more with a better sauce.

As for the atmosphere, it is incredibly loud and busy. The staff manages it well and the line did move pretty quickly. But unless you’re okay with bumping into people everywhere, waiting for a table, and have difficulty hearing the person who’s taking your order because of the volume, I suggest you go somewhere else or place a mobile order and eat at home if you like Raising Cane’s.

The food was pretty good but not really worth the hassle
